One Mom, Two Kids, Three Years in a Tiny House on Wheels!

This post may contain affiliate links & sponsored content.

Tracy is an amazing single mom who is supporting her two children, Jack and Anna, while working flexible hours (many from her tiny house). They live in a “Tiny Town” village in Durango, Colorado, where they’ve been now for three years.

Because of their THOW she’s able to keep her kids first and work around their needs and schedule, while still affording a beautiful home for them to live and grow in. Oh, and they also have two cats! Enjoy the video tour from Tiny Home Tours/YouTube below.

One Mom, Two Kids, Three Years Living In Their Tiny Home on Wheels!

Her home was built by Rocky Mountain Tiny Houses in Colorado, and many details inside were custom-made to her specifications.

From here you can see a corner of Tracy’s desk, the family closet and their awesome gas stove for heating.

Tracy loves her plants and had special windowsill built throughout the house specifically for them. This is a greenhouse window in the bathroom where her plants thrive.

When they first moved in three years ago, this was their family bed. Now Tracy and Anna share it and Jack has his own in the other loft.

VIDEO: Single Mother & Two Young Children Live In Gorgeous Tiny Home & Want For Nothing

Tracy, Jack and Anda have lived in their tiny home for over 3 years. They live in a tiny home community lovingly called “Tiny Town” with 10 other tinies in Durango, CO. They’re situated in the mountains only a few minutes walking distance from town. Jack plays hockey across the street and Anda enjoys playing with the other children in their neighborhood. When Tracy moved the kids from Thailand 6 years ago, she was nervous about being able to provide for them. With the tiny house, she’s not only been able to provide, but thrive and all 3 of them can’t imagine living any other way.

Beautiful space/family. I was so happy to see this. You all seem so completely happy. Wish there had been tiny homes when my kids were little, I would have taken them and lived like this. Thanks for sharing your amazing!

What a fabulous home! Absolutely gorgeous! My home is a 560 square foot cabin that I share with 3 cats. I also love plants but my cats chew them or dig in them. How do you keep your cats out of them or are they just indifferent? Happy tiny living and best wishes for you and your kids.

Misty, I’d contact your local vet to find what works best.

Looks really cozy. Though I am always wondering what people will do, when the children turn teenagers and need a bit more space and privacy.

She mentioned possibly putting up a wall for her son in a couple years. But obviously it’ll get tricky when they are BOTH teens.

She seems to be such an amazing mom, and I for one do take my hat off to her, for turning a tiny house into a mansion of memories for herself and her kids. Congrats to her and her kids!

I love this home. It’s cozy and warm and inviting. And such a wonderful little family. I hope they get a beautiful little plot of land with a river or lake.

Your tiny home is beautiful, and you and your kids seem very happy and settled. For your cat’s you should use Dr. Elsey’s Precious Cat Litter, it is excellent, I used to live on a 40 ft sailboat with my cat, and no one noticed I had one until he came out of hiding.

One of my favorites! Very Bohemian! Comfortable and casual. I do think I’d like doors on that clothes closet, though. The colorful clothing does make it blend in with everything else, though. Not a bad thing. I think I could easily and happily live in this one!

Yes! Arched doors are the best.

Can’t understand why you’d complicate the construction of the roof by having a lower level in the middle. Not only is it more expensive to make it also adds possibility of leaks, which would have ingress slap bang in the middle of the house. Apart from that quite good, even if not to my particular personal taste.

Amazing story! Lovely tiny home. It’s wonderful to live close enough to walk to town. It’s also nice to be in a community with like spirits. Good for you all!

Tiny living maximalist without looking like a hoarder. I love the vibe of the house: lived in and cozy.
