This is the story of the Schons and their DIY tiny home. They’re a family of four who built their tiny house over 2 years and moved into the Lake Dallas Tiny Home Community outside Dallas, Texas.

The kids each have their own unique bedroom with personalized painted ceilings and decoupaged floors, which adds such an amazing touch. They homeschool and love the life that tiny living affords them.

I love the gooseneck tiny house, and I love the idea of having three bedrooms, but in this case, it doesn’t work, because I think that her and her husband spent so much money on customization, that 1. defeats the purpose of saving money 2. kids will grow, so how long before they outgrow their “bedrooms?” 3. how long before her husband developed neck and back problems? Of course, the things I mentioned are the concerns I HAVE, are not necessary this family’s, for them it could totally work out, this is jmho.
