This unique dome home was built by Seb & Isa from La Nature à l’État Pur in Québec, Canada.
They used earth bags to build the entire structure from the ground up.
The couple learned about earth bag construction at a CalEarth workshop about their SuperAdobe building technique, and they fell in love with it.

They bought plans and returned home to build this beautiful structure.

These SuperAdobe buildings have been primarily tested in the California desert, so they aren’t perfectly suited to a Canadian climate. The couple found that their house absorbed quite a lot of moisture, so they had to install a poly liner on the exterior to make it waterproof, and they also installed a rocket stove inside to help keep the humidity levels down.
