is bathroom really clearly visible as shown? Don’t think I could stand on the bed to get to storage but younger people could – is there a refrigerator? This might be a wonderful solution when a disaster has struck – does it get hooked up to existing or new sewer/septic?
Hello Linda!
Thank you for the feedback about the storage, it’s super-valuable while designing the second generation! Appreciate if you can find time to send us more of your impression about our other products on [email protected] . Answering your questions: the bathroom’s glass is covered with a frost window film. Unfortunately, the refrigerator isn’t included in the set. The house is equipped in the piping system and is ready to plug-in to the existing sewer. Thanks!
Hello Daniel,
I agree with Linda, for other reasons as well. Just in case, it’s not the best idea to hang anything at all over one’s head. But I love the design which is why I wrote to you, but the email was returned. I’m also trying to click on the link provided here to get a 360 view to check where the second sink is. That link doesn’t work. But your website works pretty well. It’s beautiful (needs some English editing which I’d be happy to help with). Best of luck with your beautiful cubes.
Love the look, outside and in. Wonder what shipping costs to U.S.
So, it has sound insulation… but what about heat insulation? Because in cold climates that would be absolutely crucial. See it has a heat pump on the wall… perfect if you have a connection to the grid. Otherwise you’d need a generator which would need to be stored outside… which unfortunately makes it vulnerable to theft.
Space wise it is perfect for the ultra-minimalist but I for one don’t think I could live in that space. Ok for emergencies but not long term… and I’d want the shower/toilet to have frosted glass… who wants to look at that all the time, even if living by oneself?
At $US 17900 that’s a fair chunk of change especially as it doesn’t come with “any” furniture, and for the life of me I can’t see any 2nd sink that they mention.
They’re highlighting both the Cube 1 and bit larger Cube 2, in the Cube 2 you can see a Basin sink in the bathroom on the floor plan on their site… They’re selling a number of different model variants… The Legend series looks more like container/PreFab homes but appears to be larger than the Cube series for more room and space separations…
Would have loved to seen more pictures of the inside space.
click on the 360 tour. i didnt see any drainage for a shower, but i assume that toilet /bathroom section has a track wall that folds around to hide it all.
These are Awesome. I prefer the look of the LEGEND 1&2. I wonder if I could get a loan and start up my beach front Airbnb. Beautiful, amazing how such awesome designs are only affordable when manufactured outside the US.
My daughter lives in Singapore and sent me the link to these Nestron Tiny Homes. I wondered if they would ship to Canada as I would love one in Nova Scotia for when family visits…here is a link to the business start ups for you Airbnb on the beach!!! https://nestron.house/distributorship/?fbclid=IwAR1zMyy8HwG-spR1SIxprg2lk2rQGS-IU7ukge0qiRq1pZLytl0hOm_MfjE
I have checked out “Drop Box” and several other high quality self contained prefab companies. After you read all the fine print, see that design fees are involved in some of them, the prices skyrocket to $100-$150,000$. Not cheap for a “tiny house!”
The prices on the cube and the legend are extraordinarily reasonable. I would like to have a telephone number please of a sales consultant. I sent emails to both of the ones that are listed as contact emails but never received a reply. Can anyone help me out on this? I am in Grand Isle, Vermont USA 05458. Thank you.
How is it earthquake resistant, what is the mechanism behind that…..
With the whole coronavirus thing going on, I’m a bit worried. Has anyone heard from this person named Daniel? Are they up and running?
Hello. I enjoyed your article and wanted to sign up for your newsletter but neither option sent me the email to confirm. If possible, can you add me somehow?
Thanks,
Nancy
Hi Nancy! Did you check spam for an email confirmation? Sometimes they hide in there….
This cube one is a great home, BUT, no one thinks about producing an affordable structure like this in the United States and if you were to purchase this there is taxes, import fees, port of entry fees, trucking fees to site, so double or triple the price before you could even walk in the door. Another thought is the electric is different in other countries, so would that work here or would you have to completely rewire to US standards and would the electrical components work here?
It is a bummer when these are created overseas. Hopefully if we continue to share these ideas across the internet, someone in the US will start creating these! You may want to check out Boxabl — https://www.boxabl.com/
