Escape eOne: Twin Lofts Connected by a Full-Length Walkway

The defining feature of this eOne build is the walkway. Rather than two separate lofts you climb into individually, a full-length catwalk connects them, so moving between the two never means going back down the stairs and up again. It’s the detail that makes the upper level read as a second storey rather than two crawl spaces at opposite ends of a trailer.

Downstairs, a large galley kitchen runs nearly full-sized appliances — an induction cooktop, electric oven, tall fridge/freezer, and extra-tall cabinets — with a washer/dryer combo and a laundry center worked in beside the living room. Oversized picture windows and opening windows on both levels are what keep a narrow footprint from feeling closed in. At the far end, a compact bathroom holds a full-size fiberglass shower stall and a residential toilet.

Editor’s note: this was Unit #628, listed at $82,530 in early 2023, and it has sold. The eOne is still built to order — see current listings below.

With its spacious design, modern amenities, and use of natural materials, it’s easy to see why the eOne is an incredibly popular choice for those who love tiny living. Highlights: Huge second floor with walkway, big living area with opening window, over sized picture window, beautiful kitchen with induction cook top, electric oven, tall fridge/freezer, laundry center, extra storage and bathroom with full-size shower. Enjoy lots of opening windows, High Efficiency A/C heat pump, window coverings, Smart TV, USB outlets…incredible unit

  • HE A/C heat pump split system
  • Window Coverings
  • W/D Combo
  • USB Outlets
  • Upgrade EV Power System
  • Smart TV, mounts & wiring
  • Large Kitchen Pkg
  • Tall refrigerator

  • Oversized Extra Loft with Walkway

What the Walkway Actually Changes

  • Connected lofts behave like a floor. Two lofts joined by a walkway can serve as bedroom plus office or guest space, instead of one bed and one storage attic.
  • Stairs instead of a ladder decide long-term usability. A staircase makes the upper level reachable at any hour and at any age.
  • Extra-tall cabinets exploit the one dimension tiny houses have. Width and length are capped by the road; height is where the storage is.
  • Windows on two levels beat bigger windows on one. Light from above and beside removes the tunnel effect that long, narrow homes suffer from.
