The older I get, the more convinced I am that a simple life in a Hobbit-style home is just what I’m looking for — and this vacation spot in France ticks all the boxes!

Starting with the gorgeous signature round front door and ending with the cozy alcove bedroom, this little Hobbit-inspired house feels like the perfect romantic getaway. A wood-fired hot tub on the terrace outdoors overlooks the French countryside, and a small rustic kitchen indoors for simple meal prep.

You can book your stay on Airbnb.

  1. Pretty darn cute! Love the use of so much reclaimed material, my only complaint would be the trail access, it would be hard for anyone older to get in/out of the bed as well and an outdoor table to hold wine glasses would be nice.

    1. Could be addressed with a lift assist for the bed and a motorized all terrain chair for the trail… There’s also a walk assist option coming out…

      1. Les – nowhere ready for that at 73, but when I am, hope you’re still on perfect health/condition, and not being as snarky to others – kindness is important in a life well lived

  2. Ah! This place is so pretty! I love everything about it. So quaint, and cozy, and unique. I love it!
