Now this is a tiny home village! It is beautiful! The Hobbit house is very unique. Love the round door, the beautiful banister, and the ivy. Pretty place to stay.
I do not like fake ivy. And if it had been living ivy, it would still be a problem, since it would ruin the wood over a shorter time. The couch does not fit the room. It looks out of place, since it is not styled like the rest of the house.
To match the rest of the house it would have to be a wooden bench seat or similar old world style but that wouldn’t be anywhere near as comfortable as this couch… and for some people, comfort can matter more…
Besides, it’s not like you can just go to your local furniture store and pick up a hobbit style couch… That usually takes commissioning a custom furniture maker and costing tens of thousands and the owner of this didn’t have that kind of budget…
In fact, they took advantage of the builders workshop deal to get a discount on the final cost and did much of the interior work themselves…
Love this little home. But I would like to see it 4ft longer and a window up in the loft.
Who was the builder of this home?
It was done by Incredible Tiny Homes, they do completely custom homes… and the Owner had a part in it as well because they took advantage of the workshop deal that company offers…
What worries me are the “villages” that are opening now, preying on the difficulty of parking tiny homes.
For me, parking a tiny home at $700/month? That’s such a deal breaker.
It’s not that simple… Costs vary by location and you’re not always going to get the same thing for a given cost or be able to get the same cost everywhere.
Location can also effect income and other costs among many other considerations…
