I’ve been wanting to share these little A-frame cabins with you on the sunshine coast of British Columbia for quite a while now.
They’re submitted anonymously from one of our wonderful readers and are on a property with a total of 5 A-frame cabins.
The one I’m showing you here has recently been renovated with a little bit of paint. Soon, the kitchen will be modernized.
And since the owner/dweller is getting a little bit too old for stairs, they’re planning on building an extension for a bedroom so they don’t have to crawl into bed anymore using a ladder. I hope you enjoy this small A-frame cabin and that it inspires you towards the right size home for you. As always, feel free to re-share using the share buttons below if you want to and share your thoughts about it in the comments too.

To the reader who anonymously submitted: Thank you so much for sharing your home with us along with the beautiful surrounding A-frames 🙂

I like it a lot. Is that a shower curtain I see to the right of the bathroom, or is there no shower? I don’t think I’d want to climb the stairs to the loft either so an extension would be perfect. This place looks gorgeous in the snow!
Martha, it is indeed a shower curtain. There is a tiny 4 1/2 foot bathtub, so I put in a handheld shower attached to the angled wall. The water hits perfectly into the middle of the tub for showers.
Hi Penny!
Do you by chance ever rent out your amazing a-frame cabins? My husband and I are traveling up to the Sunshine Coast soon and would love to stay in your cabin if so!
Thank you!

For the last several months I have been following the Tiny House movement and receiving the newsletter, but I believe that I am most partial to the A Frame houses I’ve seen. I would like to see more. I’m wanting to know about as many A Frame houses are for sale in California and where and how a person could buy land and build an A Frame in California affordably. I have been a Californian all of my life and don’t prefer to move.
I’ll see if I can find and post more of them for us Danie- I’m a fan of A-frames too. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing this. I have a passion for A-Frame houses too!
Thanks Donna I’m glad you enjoyed it too!
Alex, maybe you could organize teams to come and build these for people who do not know anything about how to do it. I’m in MN. I want to do this so much.
salut, j’ai participé voilà maintenant quelques années à la construction de deux même maison que la votre. elles se trouvent à la Somone sénégal .
j’apprécie cette architecture et je la trouve très sympa.
A bientôt , amicalement, denis
