DrAntonika was no stranger to tiny living when the opportunity to buy this home with her parents presented itself. Working as a healer/naturopath on yachts meant that she was often living out of a couple of suitcases in a small room. But when she and her traveling parents needed a place to ride out lockdowns, a tiny home in this Texas community seemed like a great option.
She and her parents split time between work and being home in this beautiful 399 sq. ft. tiny house that has a huge kitchen, removable deck, and downstairs bedroom. She can grow herbs out on her porch and has space for her air fryer and smoothie maker. What do you think of this tiny house and community?

Very nice tiny home with lots of space that most tinies don’t have. If I were buying this one I would def. add storage to the loft. Agree with her that dimmers would help (I use them everywhere)! Such a nice, long porch area — with some added pots of plants would be great! Good kitchen — and — I also don’t use my new oven — only the top burners! I use the oven to store pots and pans as she does. I’m just happy with a small, compact, smart oven on my countertop — but obviously not for folks who plan to roast a giant turkey!!! As for washers & dryers — def. suggest one opts for the top end lines –if affordable — too many problems with later models manufactured in the USA unfortunately (also need to have the proper electrical connections.
Yeah, while ranges are a popular and very common option, mostly because of their low price and ease of swapping them out, they do have their disadvantage that a separate cooktop and stove would not.
Like, you aren’t required to have both with a separate arrangement, you can place the oven in a more usable height and area, you don’t have to have the same size cooktop and oven, it’s much easier to clean and maintain than a range that has gaps on the side and back where food and debre can fall and accumulate, if one breaks you don’t have to replace both, options like an induction cooktop can be flush with the counter top and be usable as additional prep space or even integrated into the counter top, and with more cabinet space below the cooktop you have more options and can more efficiently use the available space… Among other options like the oven can be hidden and made to look like the rest of the cabinets, etc. or you can have something else instead of an oven or a different type of oven than a general purpose one for specific types of cooking. After all, there’s multiple other options for cooking these days…
I am curious who is the builder of this lovely home and what is the name of the model? I apologize if I missed it. It is lovely – the closest thing I have seen to perfect (this could persuade me). Thanks for sharing.
