If you’ve been waiting for a do-it-all adventure van you can actually get your hands on, Yama Vans has one coming: the Luna, a new build in the Calgary, Canada company’s limited “Omakase” series. Built on an all-wheel-drive Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144 and designed for four-season, all-terrain travel, the Luna pairs a compact 19’6″ footprint with a huge gear garage, a full galley and dinette, and an off-grid power and heating system rugged enough to stay unplugged for two-plus weeks. It’s listed at $349,500 CAD plus tax and is available to claim now, ahead of its June 2026 completion — so here’s an early look at what’s coming.

An AWD Sprinter Built to Roam Off-Grid for Weeks
The Luna starts with a Yama-spec Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144 2500 — a four-cylinder, twin-turbo high-output diesel paired with all-wheel drive and the smooth 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. That combination makes it genuinely four-season and all-terrain capable while still returning a reasonable ~15 L/100 km (roughly 16 mpg). Topping it off are the off-road essentials you’d want for backcountry travel: a full-length roof rack, a rear access ladder, off-road wheels and tires, and a swing-out spare tire carrier on the back doors. Underneath the adventure-ready looks is a serious power and utility package — an 11.8 kWh lithium system with a 3 kVA inverter charger, a 21,000 BTU hydronic heating system, and 106 L (28 gal) of fresh water with 0.4-micron drinking-water purification — enough, Yama says, for two-plus weeks unplugged with typical use and regular driving.

A Galley and Dinette for Four
Inside, the Luna keeps things bright and functional. The galley runs along one side with an induction cooktop, a sink, and a refrigerator, finished in a clean mix of white surfaces and warm wood that keeps the compact space from feeling utilitarian. Across from the kitchen, a dinette with cushioned seats and a solid wood table seats four for meals or work, and a large fixed window frames the view wherever you’ve parked. With seating for four and sleeping for three-plus, it’s sized for a couple who want room to host or a small family on the road.

A Gear Garage for the Whole Quiver
This is where the Luna really shows its adventure intent. The rear of the van is built around a generous 85-cubic-foot gear garage with room for up to four bikes, tucked beneath an elevated platform bed. Throw open the rear doors and you can load skis, boards, climbing gear, or mountain bikes straight in, while MOLLE-style panels on the doors add even more organized storage. It’s the kind of layout that lets you sleep up top and keep your toys dry and secure below — no tearing the bed apart to find your gear.

What Makes the Luna Special
- Claim it before it’s built. The Omakase series is pre-designed by Yama’s team so you can skip the custom-build queue and reserve a finished van.
- Serious off-grid range. An 11.8 kWh battery, hydronic heat, and water purification add up to two-plus weeks off the grid.
- Gear-first layout. The 85 cu. ft. garage under an elevated bed makes it ideal for bikes, skis, and big adventure kit.
- AWD all-season capability. The Sprinter 144 AWD platform handles winter and rough terrain without a huge footprint.
- Elevated, livable finishes. A bright galley, real wood dinette, and big windows make it comfortable for daily living, not just weekends.
Availability
Yama Vans notes that its Omakase builds are rare and tend to move quickly, even before they’re finished. The Luna is available to claim now ahead of its June 2026 completion; submitting an inquiry gets you the full build sheet, timeline, and availability details. As always with pre-build renderings, final specifications may vary.
