York Beach is an awesome New England vacation spot and this little pine cabin is just a short walk or bike ride from local beaches. But you also get the lovely feel of being in a wooded area, since the cabin sits on the edge of a forest. Best of both worlds!

The one-room cabin has a futon that can turn into a ground-floor bed, but it also has a cozy loft for kids or adventurous adults. There’s a little kitchenette as well, and an outdoor shower. What do you love about this cabin?

The Shiship is a really cool tiny cabin that was designed and built by Repère Boréal in Quebec, Canada.

It’s a simple structure made with a single high-cube shipping container and it measures 31′ long x 8′ wide, and 9’6″ tall.  On the exterior, you can still see most of the original shipping container with lots of exposed corrugated steel and massive cargo doors at one end.  It’s an interesting visual reminder that the shell of this cabin had another life before it was repurposed.

The cedar accents balance out the more industrial look of the container and make it feel more welcoming, and the massive wooden window frame at the other end is a dramatic feature that defines the outside of the structure and makes it pretty unique.

The modern tiny cabin in Texas features 100 acres of hill country views and is a beautifully-designed modern abode. It has full-wall doors that open up to a two-tier porch, as well as a glass ceiling that allows you to stargaze in bed. So romantic!

The porch also has a built-in plunge pool, and inside you’ll have a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower that’s almost its own room. Finally, a kitchenette with a raw wood countertop overlooks the forest and porch. Would you stay here?

This mountaintop tiny cabin sits on 99 acres of woodland just 2.5 hours outside of New York City. It’s been in Ken Phillips’ family for more than 70 years, but as things go, his family has little time to enjoy the property anymore, and it’s now for sale.

While the cabin itself is off-grid and a bit rustic, totaling just 350 square feet, the property it sits on is absolutely breathtaking and worth the $3.25 million price tag. What would you do with a property like this? Ken tells his story below…

This adorable tiny cabin was built by one of our readers and his wife. It sits on 2 acres of thinned and surveyed forest and has dirt road access. The property has building sites plotted out, with the idea that new owners could build something bigger if they wanted.

The existing off-grid cabin has metal roofing and stunning board and batten siding. There’s also a kitchenette, cot couch, and a loft bedroom with ladder access. Right outside the door is a clearing, perfect for setting up an outdoor living area!
