Looking for the perfect, cozy place to stay this winter? This Ottawa Cabin on the Bay couldn’t get much better with its wood-burning stove and secluded location.
Despite being tucked in a private spot in the woods, it’s nearby to all the amenities you could need. It is off-grid, but solar power keeps the lights on and allows you to charge a phone. There’s no running water, but an outhouse gives you a place to go. Inside you’ll find a small kitchenette for making coffee and maybe some pancakes, and up the ladder is the cozy loft bedroom. You can book a stay on Airbnb or follow the cabin on Instagram.

This cabin is a great example of *not* painting natural wood, and yet still getting a light airy feel with the white furniture and accents! I’m partial to seeing wood grain, so this looks especially inviting.
While not exactly tiny, this smaller vacation rental offers plenty of ideas for little spaces, and it’s impeccably decorated. There are three bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and two bathrooms (one with a tub/shower and one with a shower). The kitchen has all you need to cook and serve a meal.
You can book your stay in this gem in the Poconos over at Airbnb.

Why stay in a typical cabin when you could have a unique stay in the Pachinko Cabin? This bespoke off-grid wonder sits on 20 acres of land and has no running water or electricity, but provides an experience unlike any other.
There’s a hand-crank Victrola, wood-burning stove for heating and cooking, and 5-10 gallons of water for drinking and washing. An outhouse is nearby, and during the warmer months there’s a shower house too. Climb the Lapeyre stairs into the bedroom, which features standing-height ceilings and a full-sized bed.

Need a romantic getaway once COVID-19 is under control? This rustic tiny cabin in Canada on your own private pond looks like the perfect place to unplug.
This little one-room cabin measures 13 x 10.5 feet and has a bedroom loft or a futon with an air mattress if you don’t like ladders. The best part, in my opinion, is the wood burning stove. There’s a composting toilet for #1 inside the cabin, but a three-minute walk from the cabin is a lovely Victorian home with a full kitchen and luxurious bathroom you are welcome to. You can book your stay here on Airbnb! Enjoy the photo tour below.
