This is the story of a solo female living and traveling with a teardrop trailer for around a decade now! It all started in 2007, when she decided to hop on a Harley Davidson motorcycle with her teardrop camper (named tick tack) in tow. With the motor cycle, she would get around 30 miles per gallon (while towing the teardrop).
Today she’s towing it with something a bit more practical, and very likely just as economic on fuel. It’s a Volkswagen Beetle with a TDI diesel engine. That’s right, it’s a diesel Beetle! These are known to get somewhere around 50 miles per gallon, although I’m sure a teardrop camper reduces that to a significant degree, but I’m sure she isn’t complaining about it. @Pesak @Kristin Mineah You know i was just thinking much the same only i wouldn’t of put it so politely? it seems that there is always some smart %@% with a comment, or someone who knows better, has done it 10x bigger, has a far more expensive house, car, small home etc etc what do these small minded people get out of these comments, these aren’t trolls, these are just naturally nasty people, who can’t abide to see others getting on, doing their own thing, and enjoying it! Why? there could be a whole list of reasons why, but in the current context i truly believe it’s rooted in sheer jealousy as this type of comment comes from someone that hasn’t the @#@# to go out into that big bad world and tour for a “DECADE” get that and as a (presumably single) female, (no reason that should make any difference” or hasn’t the money reserves to be able to.
Whatever the reasons, i operate forums (on different subjects) ranging from circa 100 users on one, 2300 on another and finally to very nearly 100,000 users on my crowning glory, the point of telling you all this was NOT to brag or be smart but it was to demonstrate something, in that i have a strict NO bullying, No Trolling, No putting others down and finally NO posting posts that do nothing for the thread overall and are worded so as to put the OP down, in some way and i really believe the Mods and Admins here in should adopt a similar one step out of line and your out as too many nowadays you give them a mile, which is why there are so many issues in our world today with serious rioting, and such there HAS to be rules and consequences if we are to have a civilised society and this post was not civilised nor conducive to the overall post simple as that and as far as i am concerned had any of my Mods let that post through they would be out along with the person that posted it, Harsh, maybe but i have managed to retain rising user numbers, posts and threads by this means, few argumentative posts and few if any major fights, which when you read some forums, you could be forgiven for thinking they were simply free for all’s as basically that’s what they are……
Anyway please, please Admins & Mods deal with sarky, ignorant people like this as they are ruining your otherwise magnificent pages of generally very useful information to those of us with a genuine interest in living small, with less impact on earth etc
