This post may contain affiliate links & sponsored content.

Say hello to the Glam Pod over in England.

They made it for people who need a home, but are not yet ready for a large one.

So for now, they can put the Glam Pod in their parents or friend’s backyard.

It takes 8 to 10 weeks to build and is delivered on a small trailer.

This tiny house can be connected to utilities and water.

It is made out of 95% timber.

The exterior siding on the house is English cedar.

Insulation exceeds building code requirements, and the design inspiration came from Malaysia.

I encourage you to watch the video below to learn more.

I like the Glam Pod because it’s good-looking and environmentally friendly because of it’s size.

As you can see after looking at the pricing, you can save lots of money by doing it yourself. A great place to start is the DIY Guide for Backyard Building.

Structures like these can also be used as backyard offices, meditation rooms, or little workshops.

If you’d rather build a tiny home on wheels that you can always move if you wanted, get this book and check out these free tiny house plans.

Very cool design and what a great piece of functional yard art. It’s such a contrasting architectural style to what the surrounding area looks like; I wonder how the neighbors feel about it though?

The guy who makes them was on a show here in England, trying to build his own house. Cool design but at what cost to your wallet???

Saw that – “Grand Designs”. He is such a gutsy guy. Amazing house that he built but HUGE and BIG $$$$$. Got to give it to him though, run out of money? turn it into a B&B to pay off the massive debt.

Just makes you wonder though, if you raise kids in a tiny house are they all going to turn around and build massive houses to overcompensate like this guy did. Oh and he makes and sells tiny pods to other people 🙂 I think he is a bit conflicted, none-the-less a really nice guy.
