Stick-built 144-square-foot Tiny Home on Wheels with a Loft

This is a stick built 144-square-foot loft tiny house on a trailer. It was built by Steve Garcia and is located in Beeville, Texas. It was built on an 8 x 16 dual axle BigTex utility trailer. It’s got cedar tongue and groove siding which turned out beautiful. All windows are double pane and the roof is metal. The inside of this tiny home has bamboo flooring and built in cedar shelving. The house consists of:

  • a little kitchen,
  • loft that fits a queen-sized bed,
  • windows and a ceiling fan,
  • standard size shower,
  • toilet,
  • and tankless hot water heater.

The sliding door covers the bathroom if I remember correctly. I love all the shelving. Wish I could fit into this ’cause I think it’s a dreamy set-up.

Pretty sure you’re right about the sliding door to close up bathroom which then covers shelves if bathrooms open. Very cool and space saving! Thanks Carolyn!

This is nice, very nice. Long ago, I travelled to Beeville, TX, while living in Texas. I had a friend who lived there at that time. Beeville, TX is a nice small town.

Love your little cabin. It is so cute. I thought about building one on a trailer like that but worry about weight of cabin on the axles and tires. Do you know the weight of the tiny home after it is built> What type of truck do you have to have to pull the trailer?
