This is a beautifully designed home. How was it built? Did you do it or have it done to your specs? We are considering this kind of home and wondering what the cost would be of having it built. What was your experience – if you had someone to built for you and incorporate details you wanted? We’re in the states and considering living in the Carolines. We don’t know quite how to begin such a project, esp. finding a builder. Love to hear from you. Mira

This was build by Tiny House Builders Ltd., which is a builder in New Zealand…

You should first look for where you will be placing the home and seeing what the local zoning/housing rules will and won’t allow. Once you know that then you can approach a builder, there’s a large number of builders in NC and a couple in SC and there’s advocacy groups like Tiny House Ashville and others you may find that can provide information relevant to your area…

So very clever! Best thing I’ve seen yet for living full time in the real world.

Especially like the little touches, i.e. the drawer above the washing machine, the ironing board, the built in drawers in the stairs and generous sized kitchen.

I love it – it’s beautiful. However – I tried those alternating stairs in my Tiny House and they turned out to be very dangerous. People’s brains don’t comprehend the concept and several almost tumbled down them. You really have to pay attention when going up and down those things…..I like them, but folks don’t get it.

I don’t normally comment but I’ve got to say this is one of the nicest tiny homes I have ever seen. Simply gorgeous!!!!

Really like this one. Question – does anyone know where the loft sofa chairs (beds?) come from. They look very versatile.

I love it, too! Wouldn’t need those funky little stairs to that extra loft, though. I put storage under the sofa or something.

Love the house – but the loft stairs would kill me. I have to step up one stair at a time. There isn’t enough space and no rail. But I love the concept. And I’m in New Zealand – now to find land.

Beautiful. I love this concept of living without being mortgaged into a regular house. In senior years its not really an option.

This is so pretty, what was used for the exterior siding?
