The eBoho XLS Plus: An Oversized All-Electric Escape at the Oaks Village

This was an eBoho XLS Plus — a one-off, extra-long version of ESCAPE’s all-electric Boho — sited on one of the better lots at the Oaks Village in Tampa, shaded by mature palms with a large deck off the front. Buying it meant buying into the village too, which is the part worth studying: lot rent ran $650/month and covered water, sewer, garbage and recycling, the private deck, landscaping maintenance, gated security, and parking.

The stretch in the floorplan went where it counts. A large private bedroom with a walk-around bed and proper storage sits at one end — not a loft, a room — and the bathroom takes a full tub/shower rather than a stall. The kitchen is fully appointed for real cooking, and glass doors and windows run through the living space to tie the interior to that deck and the view.

Editor’s note: this unit was listed with a $6,400 discount in early 2024 and has sold. The Oaks and ESCAPE’s Tampa villages rotate inventory regularly — current listings are linked below.

  • Glass windows and doors throughout, opening to a large deck
  • Location: the Oaks Village, Tampa — shaded lot with mature palms
  • Lot rent: $650/month including water, sewer, garbage/recycling, private deck, landscaping, gated security, and parking
  • Original listing: sold with a $6,400 discount (2024, sold)

Buying the House and the Lot Together

  • In an established village, the lot is half the purchase. Shade, deck size, and position drive price as much as the house does.
  • Bundled lot rent is easier to budget than it looks. When utilities, landscaping, and security are included, $650/month is closer to all-in than a bare site fee.
  • A walk-around bed in a private room is the upgrade people pay for. It is the clearest difference between a house you can retire in and one you cannot.
  • One-off “Plus” builds are worth chasing on the resale market. Extended variants are rarely repeated, so a used one is often the only way to get that floorplan.
