  1. Amazing how spacious it looks inside. Well done. Airy with all the windows, nicely arranged, nice nice nice.

  2. Wow! So, I’m not sure I would want to live in this….I like wooden structures and something more broad of base with a shanty roof. However…and this is a big however…..this is a really cool structure! Beautifully designed and crafted. It is the kind of simplicity I strive for, very minimal. The light downstairs is very good! And the bed upstairs looks like it would be really cozy at night. The main structure itself looks like an upended shipping crate. If this were mine I think I would expand the upstairs windows downward so I could lie in bed and have a view outside. Other than that….hats off to the architect!!!

    1. Haha, I have lived in cabins with outhouses so it never occurred to me that others would pick up on it as anything unusual or undesired. If they are done up really nicely they are doable though! 🙂

    2. GiGi…right? and it looks like it would be a hike to get there! If it were me (and it isn’t) I would turn the “container” on its long side…make a downstairs bedroom and indoor plumbing. I am 67, below-knee amputee and would probably end up hurting myself! But, for glamping and younger and more physically sound, I LOVE it; seriously!

  3. Interesting concept, I would probably run the top floor wall to wall, keeping the same size bed so you could get to 3 sides of it. Then add a open ceiling pitched roof with windows in both gable ends

  4. The windows gives this a lot of class. Stairs are real nice. What one could do with a design like this. Be nice if it was a lot wider…. Love this.

    1. “Can you imagine being here at night?” Uhm, actually no, I couldn’t. Suit some people but not me. And the reason is more practical than “nah, don’t like it.” I have bad knees and, probably arthritis in both knees as well, so that makes it a non-starter for me. Plus a long, long commute from lil ol’ New Zealand. LOL

  5. I almost passed this by , Glad I didnt! I love the inside layout and real stairs to the bedroom! Only thing I dont care for is the red exterior , but then you do look at the inside more. I would prefer a more neutral color like the outhouse, but thats me.

  6. Fascinating! Love the wood and cabin feel — great windows too. The outhouse is a bit far for me tho in my family’s cabin in my youth — we thought nothing of it (helped that it was close to the cabin and it never snowed there) :)!
