If you want an edgy off-grid vacation, this cliff cabin might be the perfect fit! Built on the *very* edge of mountain in North Carolina, this “normal” tiny home becomes extraordinary and has absolutely fantastic views. As part of one of the Raven Rock Mountain Luxury Stays located near Asheville, North Carolina.

Besides sitting out on the deck bar and staring at the valley below, you can walk down a (slightly perilous) staircase to the firepit, which is tucked beneath a huge rock. You’ll feel like you’ve gone back in time.

Here’s an awesome vacation property in Colorado Springs, just minutes from the “Garden of the Gods” and downtown. Dubbed the “Chicken Coop” because there used to be a coop on the property, this fully-renovated cabin looks nothing like a home for poultry!

Grand vaulted ceilings with skylights make the small space feel especially open. The bed is the main feature of the space, but a built-in corner dinette and a mini kitchen line the sidewall. There’s also a three-quarter bathroom with a tiled shower.

Located in Cobb, California, the Cobb Haus is a lovely cottage tucked in the pines with a large deck and open interior. While the exterior of the cabin looks very traditional, inside you’ll find white-painted wood that makes the place feel modern and bright.

There’s an open-concept living/dining/kitchen space complete with a farmhouse kitchen table and a comfy couch surrounded by window views. Then there’s a 3/4 bathroom and a spacious single bedroom for the perfect romantic getaway.

I think I could live here full-time — what about you?

What an adorable cozy cabin in North Carolina! This spot will make a great tiny house vacation for a couple or a few friends. It comfortably sleeps 3 with its lofts connected by breezeway.

Downstairs there’s a small table, and a kitchen with everything you need to cook up a meal minus an oven. You can warm up by the wood-burning stove, and then take a good book to the reading nook with a cup of hot cocoa.

Outside there are hiking trails, a babbling brook, and a fire pit for warmer days. You can book this spot on HipCamp here.

This unique screened-in tiny cottage tucked in a woodland grove among a flower farm is a couple steps up from sleeping open-air, and the best way to do so while still sleeping in a comfortable bed!

The cottage has no walls, just screens surrounding the queen-sized bed with luxury linens. A clear plastic roof allows you to see the treetops, while keeping the elements from soaking you. You can cook over the firepit (although make sure to keep food in your car so as not to attract wildlife), and take a shower with the solar shower provided in the nearby outhouse. There’s also a composting toilet there.

This is a one-of-a-kind experience you can’t get many other places! Book it here on Airbnb.

As a goat-owner, any vacation spot with these cuties nearby speaks to me! This adorable one-room cabin in North Carolina is no exception. “Wanda’s World Cabin,” as it’s called, has two sturdy bunks, a bathroom with shower, and a little kitchenette.

It’s nearby to hiking trails, whitewater rafting locations, fishing holes and even horseback riding! Other than the host’s home and the goat shed, there are no other cabins within sight.

The interior has a rustic glam feeling that’s sure to welcome you. No wifi available, so you can really unplug. Rent the spot on HipCamp here.

This cabin is a great example of *not* painting natural wood, and yet still getting a light airy feel with the white furniture and accents! I’m partial to seeing wood grain, so this looks especially inviting.

While not exactly tiny, this smaller vacation rental offers plenty of ideas for little spaces, and it’s impeccably decorated. There are three bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and two bathrooms (one with a tub/shower and one with a shower). The kitchen has all you need to cook and serve a meal.

You can book your stay in this gem in the Poconos over at Airbnb.
