Here’s an awesome vacation property in Colorado Springs, just minutes from the “Garden of the Gods” and downtown. Dubbed the “Chicken Coop” because there used to be a coop on the property, this fully-renovated cabin looks nothing like a home for poultry!
Grand vaulted ceilings with skylights make the small space feel especially open. The bed is the main feature of the space, but a built-in corner dinette and a mini kitchen line the sidewall. There’s also a three-quarter bathroom with a tiled shower.

Highlights:
Why do we call it the Chicken Coop? Well, when we purchased the property there was an operating chicken coop. The stand-alone cottage is in the rear of the main home, with its own private entrance. It’s fully renovated but maintains its rustic charm, with large front windows and skylights to keep it feeling bright. The cozy cottage features comfortable furniture, a reading nook and a kitchenette with toaster oven, coffee maker and hot plate. The tiled bathroom is small but very clean and nice. Outdoors is a nice deck for relaxing in the great Colorado Springs weather.
There is one parking spot. The entrance is around the front of the main house and through a gate, but the cottage itself is wholly separate from the main house.
Looks like a great vacation, but would also make a good tiny house design! Book on Airbnb.
