Cargo trailers make a great blank canvas for tiny home conversions. Unlike vans, they feature straight sides which are usually easier to insulate/frame. This couple did an awesome job making their trailer a true home, including a bathroom.
They hang out on a futon from Amazon that turns into a comfortable Queen-sized bed. When it’s all folded up, they have desk space and a living room. The wife paints, and her art is the stunning focal point of the trailer.

When I think I’ve seen the tiniest living quarters, someone like Jimmy comes along and astonishes us! You might think someone living out of their car must have a messy, packed-full vehicle, but not Jimmy. Everything inside his Tesla has a home and is perfectly organized to maximize space and efficiency.
He even built in a cool storage system in the back, which allows him to pull out his kitchen setup (that includes a sink, grill, and even “running” water). Somehow, he carefully included everything he needed and absolutely nothing more or less into his design. Check it out!

Nan got in touch with us to show off her awesome 20×24 storage building that she was able to transform into a tiny house rental with the help of a family friend “jack of all trades.”
She said the majority of the $50K spent on the conversion went to installing a new water system and retaining wall, but regardless, the results are stunning! The interior has one bedroom and it all has a beautiful modern farmhouse feel. Check it out below.

George Dunnett, a 28-year-old video editor from Scotland, spent 11 months transforming an abandoned 1700s stone cottage in his village into a modern 400-square-foot home. The building had been used to store religious books centuries ago and had deteriorated into a crumbling storage unit with no plumbing, electricity, or insulation. George purchased it and documented the entire renovation on YouTube — total project cost including purchase price came to approximately £157,844, with renovations alone costing £102,458.

This is a beautiful home in Oregon built by Stanley Tiny Homes. The 25-foot structure has plenty of large windows to take in the natural beauty where the THOW is parked.
You walk through the French doors into the living room and then turn into the galley kitchen with an L-shaped bar. The bathroom sits at the very end of the building, and there’s a ladder up to the loft bedroom. Enjoy!

Meet the Extea Cabera, built for Basque couple as their full-time residence! Modern Tiny Living customized their “Point” model which is a 20-foot loft-based layout.
This model has a smaller version of the signature MTL Social Area, which also becomes a bed and has oodles of storage underneath. If you look closely, I’m pretty sure that’s a 3-in-1 dishwasher sink to make cleaning dishes so much easier! What do you think of the home?

While we have seen pull-out beds before, they are remarkably under-utilized in most tiny homes. It’s a great way to get a ground-floor sleeping space in shorter THOWs that usually rely on lofts.
This brand new build from an Atlanta tiny house builder is up for sale on Facebook, and it actually separates the kitchen and bathroom on opposite sides of the house which I know some people really like. Let us know what you think!

Have you seen WWII Quonset Huts before? I wasn’t familiar with them until today! They were used during WWII to house troops or as agricultural buildings, but when the war was over, the goverment sold them to the public.
This one in Southern Illinois is in a college town and sits on 1/4 acre. It could be yours for $79,000 — land included! I think with some sprucing up this could be quite the adorable property. Would you buy it?
