I’m always excited when we stumble over tiny homes that already have a space you can park them, since that’s one of the biggest hurdles to overcome when it comes to living tiny. This park-model tiny home is in Bayfield, Colorado in the MarLin Village we showed you a couple of weeks ago.

The house is under a year old and features two large loft bedrooms that can fit a King-sized bed. You’ll find a gorgeous, spacious galley kitchen on the first floor with full-sized appliances. The living room comfortably fits a standard-sized couch, and the large bathroom on the other end of the home has a stacking washer and dryer. You can purchase the home for $157K and the monthly lot rent is $650 (water/sewer/trash & snow removal included).

Because park models are rarely moved, you can usually get them wider than the legal road allowance, which allows for a spacious living space. That’s very true in this 15×35 Monarca model with plenty of elbow room!

Remarkably it comes with a lovely covered porch on the outside, but the interior is also grand with a spacious living room, downstairs bedroom with a closet, and a well-designed bathroom with a tiled walk-in shower. It’s for sale now in Loop Liberty Hall, Texas for $83,000. What do you think?

Momo and Casey own a “big” home, but by renting it out and living in a tiny house, they have the financial flexibility to start a new business — Momo’s Michelada! The couple got a park model tiny home in an Austin tiny house community that meets their needs.

I love the video tour with them — which you can watch below — because they’re very realistic about what works and what doesn’t in their tiny space! It’s always helpful to get a real review of tiny living. What do you think?

Charlene was a teacher until she retired at age 70 shortly after her father passed away and urged her not to “die in her classroom.” She and her husband had owned a 50-acre ranch which she continued taking care of when she lost him in 2007, but she was ready to downsize.

She looked at 7 or 8 different park models to find the perfect one for her needs, and ultimately chose this model for the galley kitchen and massive porch that allows her to spend half of her waking hours outside and entertaining company. Charlene carefully selected each option for her custom tiny and you can tell she loves this life!

It’s always a joy to meet people like Linda, a true gem who worked hard to make her tiny home dreams come true! Today, she is going to walk us through her story about how she converted a run-down trailer and made it home. I’ll let her take the wheel…

For the price of a used car I found my first home a rundown trailer with no functioning parts, Uninhabitable at that and for the last 2.5 years, I have been cutting, digging, cleaning, designing, planting, buying and selling furniture from Day 1 to now. I have finally found what is the perfect dream home in a 450 Sq Ft Tiny Trailer. Who needs Barbie’s beach house? I would rather live Tiny in my PNK*DMD….
