Here’s an awesome architect-designed cabin with a fun cubic design. The 10×10 structure is two stories, but the second story has an open loft, so the whole space has grand ceilings. A number of square windows let in natural light.

A kitchenette and seating area take up the first floor, and there’s an outhouse and outdoor shower (available in the warmer months). A large deck gives you a spot to sip your morning coffee while soaking in the views. What do you think of this design?

The Wooly Mammoth is an incredible skoolie featuring two giant couches with the capacity to seat up to 10 people (with seatbelts)! Originally, the school bus was going to be a tour vehicle for the musical group that Isaac and Julie were a part of, but when the band broke up, they decided to keep the skoolie dream alive.

It took about 4 years to complete the conversion, but the end result is exactly what they wanted. There’s a large kitchen across from a two-part bathroom with a spacious shower, an elevator bed on a crank system in the back of the bus, and the couches become a giant bed perfect for lounging on while watching some TV. Enjoy the full tour below!

I’ve never seen a tiny house layout quite like this one! Not only does it have built-in full-sized bunk beds, but above those beds is an entire loft that you can stand in, making it easy to sleep 6 people (7 if someone sleeps on the couch)!

The kitchen takes up the back wall, while the full bathroom sits on the other end of the home. In the middle, you’ll find space for a small sectional. Oh, and did I mention the deck and awning can be included? The house is for sale for $78K in Fullerton, California.

Crissy and Brian have five children, and while the idea of traveling in an RV together had sounded attractive for a while, it wasn’t until the three teenagers moved out that it seemed feasible space-wise. They were ready to start spending more time together and more time outdoors, and their life in a toy hauler allows them just that!

They purchased the RV new and have made some improvements to make it fit their needs. Enjoy a photo tour of the space below, and hear from Crissy about why they went tiny and what they love most (and find most challenging) about this lifestyle.

This was the first-ever tiny house built by Kevin and Heather Fritz that began their journey into full-time tiny house building with Fritz Tiny Homes. The incredible home is up for sale again and whoever gets it will be lucky!

Despite coming in at just 8′ 6″ wide, it feels remarkably more spacious than that with an L-shaped kitchen, comfortable living area, and a bathroom with a luxurious soaking tub and rainfall shower head! The custom woodwork, however, is what really makes this model shine! The home sold for $160K originally, and you can contact them for details on purchasing.

Have you ever wondered how much a tiny house costs, or been shocked when you found out the price of a tiny house?  We’ve been sharing tiny house video tours on our Exploring Alternatives YouTube channel for years now, and one of the biggest comments we get is “Why are tiny houses so expensive?”  A lot of people are quite surprised when they learn about the drastic difference between the cost of a DIY tiny house and the price of a professionally built tiny house so we sat down with D’Arcy from Acorn Tiny Homes to find out more.

Lily and Dylan have an incredible tiny life — living on the Seattle waterfront next to million-dollar homes — for a fraction of the cost! Their floating home allows them to enjoy incredible views without the crazy price tag.

While the house is now mostly a barge, it was “seaworthy” in its heyday. The couple have paid homage to the homes’ past by preserving much of the original woodwork and displaying old pictures of the houseboat inside. Enjoy the remarkable tour below!

Container homes are always neat, but I just love what they did with the faux stone on the exterior of this one! What makes the inside so special is the use of all reclaimed wood. It’s especially lovely in the cozy first-floor bedroom.

The full bathroom features a vintage pedestal sink and the bathroom has an old cast iron sink, giving the home extra character. There’s a comfortable living room and seating for four at the dining table. Could you live in this container home?
