Bold Tiny House with Dog Nook by Baluchon in France

This is the Bold Tiny House (Tiny house Téméraire, in French) built by French builder Baluchon.

The exterior is a mixture of red cedar clapboards and stunning blue teal aluminium siding. Inside they painted the same beautiful blue color on two accent walls — one in the living room and another in the compact kitchen.

Under the storage stairs that go to the main loft, there’s even a little dog cubbie with a bed for your furry friend! If you live in France you can get in touch about getting your own Bold Tiny House here.

Somehow it is truly FRENCH. I don’t know what it is that makes me like it so much better than the herd of USA tiny houses (except some Vardo Builders) but it is simple yet elegant. Yes, there is always something I would change but as a package, it is so complete. Colors inside and out, I would add some of that loft railing to the walkway over the sofa maybe but just LOOK at it Mon Ami’, all it lacks is a glass of wine. And where do you shoot, in the vineyard of course?

Right? There’s something so distinctly different about their homes than the American ones. Just perfect!

Need a fold down type mini sink in the shower or perhaps removable that attaches to wall for hand washing. Unless you are FASTIDIOUSLY CLEAN washing your fecal wiping hands IN THE SINK WHERE you clean and prep food seems like asking to get sick….especially guests whose hygiene may be lacking….I would have a Murphy type bed over where the couch would be at the desk end. My dinette folds out(unattached-cant find them anymore) with FOUR foldup chairs inside. Closed as thin as a shelf but open can seat up to SIX. Open half for desk or turn lengthways for a big table about 2.5 feet wide. And can always take outside… I Like loft. But barn door would be pocket door. How much WAS THIS? Did I miss it…

Baluchon has a pricing guide on their website but it’s all in euros and they don’t ship to the US, unfortunately.

I looked at this a while ago and loved it, but this time I see more details to love. The stairway to the loft is wonderfully done, and I love the nook it makes for the sofa. I noticed a stainless steel potty which is great as stainless steel will not absorb odors, like plastic does, and can be cleaned so thoroughly. Good choice. The kitchen is really nice and I love the window placements. This is a really clever and beautiful tiny house.

I never thought about the benefit of stainless steel for bathroom odors. Great point.
