This lovely DIY 18′ tiny house was built about three years ago and provided a happy home to a couple who is now looking to sell it. The interior has a quaint cottagey style and all the amenities you need.

You’ll find a small living/dining area when you first walk in, next to the kitchen that features tons of built-in storage including a pull-out pantry.  A stovetop and microwave let you cook, and there’s plumbing for a washer.

In the bathroom there’s a composting toilet as well as plumbing for a shower (now unfinished). The home is for sale for $27,500 near Nevada. You can contact the seller here.

For #DisneyDay over at Angie’s List, the creative team at NeoMam Studios crafted these amazing digital renderings of the tiny homes they think Disney characters might live in if they left their castles behind!

While this is all just conceptual, I’m a softie for Disney so I just had to share these ideas! Maybe one of you can take some inspiration from the post and create your own real tiny house with some fairytale style. I personally would choose Belle’s house, but she is my favorite princess so no surprise there…

See the original post here, and enjoy the mock-ups below!

This family wanted to save up to build their forever home on some lake-front property in Michigan, so they decided to go tiny in order to afford it! All six of them are living in a 37″ Grand Design Imagine 3250BH on family property with no mortgage payment while they build.

Their four kids have an awesome bunkroom on one end of the house, while mom and dad have their master suite on the other side. In the middle is the living and kitchen area, complete with a dinette, couch, faux fireplace and fully-functional kitchen.

We got to talk to mom, Sarah, about what led them to go tiny and how it’s going now, two months into the journey. Read the interview after the photo tour (and follow them on Instagram @ourlifeonlaketime).

This is the skoolie that started it all for YETIBUS Builds. It’s the school bus conversion of Kyle Volkman, co-founder of YetiBus, who literally raised the roof with his first skoolie build.

The bus is a 1986 International. According to YetiBusBuilds.com, he has lived in it for 7 years full-time, and another 4 years part-time before that. Kyle would drive it around to different tiny house shows, and so he started getting hired to do conversions for other people when showing his bus around the country. So the company was named after this very first bus. This skoolie has lots of features, most notably, it’s powered by vegetable oil!

Now here’s a downsizing story for you! This amazing family of 5 bought their 7,000 foot dream home after the dad’s military retirement, when a visitor from Denmark and sudden illness inspired them to make a change. Within 10 days they put their giant home on the market and moved into a 1,200 square foot Airbnb.

That’s when they started sailboat-shopping, at last landing on a new-to-them Leopard 48 Catamaran which has even less square footage than their Airbnb. Now the family is spending more time together than ever during their sabbatical year on the sea.

Where will life take them next? Who knows! But for now they are finding that having less space truly does equal more family time. I love seeing people intentionally choose to downsize and minimize, because it shows that we can all benefit from tinier living, even if we could afford to go bigger to keep up with the Joneses.

Mom, Julie, shared their full story at the end of the photo tour below. Don’t miss it!
