The Hammock House is a modern cabin in the Texas Hill Country, about an hour outside of Austin. It’s a unique cabin with two levels: the first floor with the living, kitchen, and bath, and the upstairs with a large bedroom that opens to a balcony and hammock. It’s meant to be the perfect place to get away from it all and relax in nature. The property is gated and private and the most notable thing about the home is the hammock deck accessible from the upstairs bedroom.

The kitchen is designed for light cooking and there are 12′ of glass sliding doors on both levels to enjoy. During warm weather, there’s even an outdoor tub for soaking under the stars. Plus, with nearby lakes and state parks, there is plenty to explore. If you’re looking for a unique and peaceful getaway, consider The Hammock House! What are your thoughts on this cabin? Would you consider building something kind of like this?

Jenn was running a grooming business, working 60-70 hours a week. Kyle was staying home with their three kids and constantly shuffling them from school to sports to activities. They were fed up with the rat race and decided it was time for something new. A year later, they had moved into their awesome coach bus tiny home.

The bus has a large kitchen area, oodles of power and plenty of undermount storage for tools, water and all the extras. They have a special gaming space set up for the their son, bunks for the kids and a residential King-sized bed where the family can all hang out and have movie night. What a cool family.

Allison & Nick purchased their bus somewhat impulsively, but they diligently converted it into the gorgeous nature-inspired skoolie it is today over the course of two years! During that time they were largely working full-time, saving money for their adventure.

They’ve been on the road for 6 months, enjoying all their hard work. They chose tons of natural materials like hardwood floors, quartz countertops, porcelain tiles, and a pine ceiling. But they also included the comforts of home with their bathtub and a sweet gaming set-up. Enjoy!

The interior design is studio-style, with a bed on one end and the kitchen/eating area on the other. Behind the door inside, you’ll find the compact bathroom. Everything you need for guests!

Mario wanted a way to travel stealthily but still have room to spread out when he found a campervan-friendly spot. So he designed it himself! Altogether, he spent about $40k (in Euros) on his unfolding box truck, doing some work himself and then hiring some freelancers to finish the job.

He used the best features and materials for his solar setup, heating/cooling systems, and water system to make sure the process of living on the road was as nice as possible. While you can fully use the campervan when it’s closed up, the front, back and side open up to create extra rooms! Tell us what you think.

A New Zealand family recently commissioned Build Tiny to create a vacation tiny home for them, inspired by the bachs in their area (“A bach is a small, often modest holiday home or beach house in New Zealand” – Wikipedia). As such, the tiny house prioritizes family space and an indoor-outdoor concept over having oodles of storage.

The two lofts on either side have beds for the parents and the kids, and the kitchen has plenty of space for making holiday meals. The entire living room wall opens up in good weather to the outdoor deck. Gorgeous!

This mountaintop tiny cabin sits on 99 acres of woodland just 2.5 hours outside of New York City. It’s been in Ken Phillips’ family for more than 70 years, but as things go, his family has little time to enjoy the property anymore, and it’s now for sale.

While the cabin itself is off-grid and a bit rustic, totaling just 350 square feet, the property it sits on is absolutely breathtaking and worth the $3.25 million price tag. What would you do with a property like this? Ken tells his story below…
