Karol and Austin are the bubbly and awesome couple who built this beautiful Ram Promaster. On the cusp of buying a home, they chose to jump into van life instead—and created one of the coziest cabin-like conversions we’ve seen.

Karol had wanted a closet and bathroom, and they managed to fit both beautifully. They have a nice projector setup for watching TV and a lovely kitchen with butcher block countertops and a deep sink. The warm wood interior gives the van a true cabin feel that’s hard to find in most conversions.

Karen’s journey toward tiny living began after her youngest child moved out. She started by selling her home and began traveling in an RV. Then she decided on a tiny house, so she put a down payment on a home from a tiny house builder, only to find out some months later that the business went under, and her money was gone.

Not giving up, she paid the loan back, recouped her losses, and was able to purchase a new Incred-i-Box model tiny home from Incredible Tiny Homes for $20,000. She spent some time finishing the interior and now lives in a park in Arizona, loving that her dreams of living simply and affordably finally came true!

The Tiny Blue Nell is one adorable tiny house! And it doesn’t even have a loft, despite the short 14′ length. Instead, a futon couch provides a spot to sleep (although a Murphy bed would make a great addition).

There’s a 3/4 bathroom at the back of the house and a little kitchen with a mini fridge, sink, and removable cooktop. The best part is the price tag — which is under $35k! You can buy it in Ocala, Florida.

Pamela and her husband Ulrich have been living on a boat since the day before their wedding — 30-plus years ago. When expecting their first child, they debated buying a home on land but ultimately purchased a 100-year-old tugboat that they renovated into a floating home.

The tugboat had had a number of owners over the years who had used it for different things, but with Ulrich’s amazing metalwork skills and sculpture experience, they were able to re-design the boat to meet their family’s needs. Now that their daughters are grown, and it’s getting harder to do boat maintenance, the couple are considering life on land once again.
