They Built A Handcrafted Tiny House Using Recycled Materials

Phil is a woodworker who specializes in crafting musical instruments and always had the idea of wanting to live in a tiny, recycled space. While Radha wasn’t originally keen on the idea, she now loves their handcrafted tiny house.

The couple used almost all recycled or reclaimed materials in their build, which didn’t save them time or effort, but did save money (and the planet!). When you walk into their home you immediately feel the warmth of a truly one-of-a-kind build.

You’ll love Bryce Langston’s in-depth tour and interview with the couple, which you can watch below. Worth every minute!

Instrument-Maker Builds His Own Recycled Tiny House

This is the couple’s favorite indoor spot.

Their kitchen is actually larger than what they used to have.

The beam on the right they salvaged from the woods after a storm.

That back window wall has one of the best views.

A wood-burning stove gives them off-grid heating.

They can actually stand on the last step in the loft.

What a perfect slice of paradise.

Beautifully crafted house! Even though there’s a lot of wood, it feels good, not too woody or brown. There’s a nice openness, and good light. The bright trim outside, and the way the roof slopes are so appealing. Beautiful location, too.

Yes too much wood can easily backfire, but they really did a nice job with it!

Not only is this house gorgeous and well crafted, there is a spirit about it that comes through the video. The peaceful, serenity of the environment they have chosen to live in, plus their so cute. The looks and smiles and JOY they exude in subtle ways made my viewing of this video such a pleasure. I wanted to be there and cuddly up on their lovely daybed. I have always said that the way to go is with a daybed built in, comfort and a guest space all in one. I don’t know what the length is in feet but the only thing I think I would have different might be just a couple more feet for the bathroom. Love the loft with just a skylight. I could totally live in this the rest of my life…Great job and so appreciate Bryce always doing such a good job of finding these lovely homes and people.
