Built in British Columbia, Canada over six years with help from friends and professionals, the total cost came to approximately $50,000 CAD ($35,000 USD) including appliances. The studio also collects rainwater—abundant in the temperate rainforest setting.
Pentagon-Shaped Hybrid Construction
The Wobbly Hobbit combines multiple building techniques: cob (clay, sand, and straw), stick framing, and insulated concrete forms. This hybrid approach allowed Brent to use each method where it works best.

Built by Rewild Homes in British Columbia, Canada, it includes a main floor bedroom, pass-through bathroom with a large shower and washer/dryer, galley kitchen with built-in dinette, and a cozy living room with fireplace and space for a full-size sofa.
This particular unit was built for a client who will use it as a legal accessory dwelling unit (ADU) rental on their property, with simple hookups for water, septic, 50-amp electrical, and propane.
