Meg lives in a beautiful tiny house, built by the previous owners who she purchased it from. While she didn’t want to rent anymore, she wasn’t in a place to purchase a traditional home. Living tiny provided her with her own space without overtaxing her budget!
Her house feels so warm and cozy inside, with honey-colored wood and oodles of plants. She put in a “big comfy couch” that has no storage or guest bed capabilities but gives her an awesome spot to relax. Her kitchen features a full-sized oven and range, and two mini fridges — one as a fridge and one as a freezer. Which feature do you love most about this home?

Linda was tired of renting and had always wanted to design her own home, but a “sticks and bricks” was out of the budget. Purchasing a tiny house, on the other hand, allowed her to have the space of her dreams. She designed the house to be her forever home, and included a first-floor bedroom to make it retirement-friendly.
She has a lovely gallery wall with artwork she admires, and her kitchen fills the back wall and boasts oodles of cabinet storage. The interior is perfectly decorated to her tastes, with pops of pink and turquoise to brighten the space. And just wait until you see her spacious bathroom!

Deb was starting a new phase of her life after her kids moved out, and she got divorced. Living tiny was the perfect “next step” for rebuilding her life. She and her sister purchased tiny houses and placed them on a lush rented lot near the woods.
Her off-grid home has a rainwater catchment system, solar system, and composting toilet. Since she has two lovely cats, she added a catio and catwalk around the living room and some small cat hammocks so they can watch the world outside the windows. The large covered deck expands her living space when the weather is nice, and she and her sister frequently enjoy coffee there on their days off.

Suzy was living in a cabin with her son when their home was flooded. A friend mentioned she should get a tiny house if natural disasters come her way. She could hitch up and leave. At the time, she was unaware of tiny homes, but once she started researching, she knew it was the right choice for her!
She did a lot of dumpster-diving and thrifty shopping to keep her tiny house price under $17,000! This was nine years ago, and she thinks it would cost closer to $40,000 to build it today. But the most remarkable part of her story is that it took her only 38 days (with no experience!) to build her happy home. You’ll love Suzy (and her jokes) in the video below.
