At 592 sq. ft. this modular tiny home might not be that tiny to you. For a lot of us, it’s huge. Especially if you’ve been thinking about going into 120 sq. ft. But for most families, this would definitely be considered tiny. And that’s just one of the reasons I like to share tiny and small spaces with you on a consistent basis.
And as I always say, tiny is always relative to how many people use the home and how many uses the home serves. Some people work from home, have space hungry hobbies, or maybe even have lots of guests over.
So either way I wanted to share this amazing little modular home built by Møn Huset in Denmark. It comes in modules that you can choose from. There are kitchen/bathroom modules, living room modules, and bedroom modules. This particular example uses a breezeway too. I hope you enjoy it. Daniel Bond, a self-employed electrician, found it impossible to get approved for a mortgage. So he and his partner decided they would turn a double decker bus into their very own mortgage-free two bedroom home.
Inside it has everything a normal house has. A kitchen, lounge, bar, bathroom, and two bedrooms! And best of all, it’s debt-free. No mortgage? No problem.
Better yet, it’s on wheels, too. So if they ever have a major life change, they can just drive wherever they want or need to go.

Right now I’m excited to show you Laura & Matt’s 120 sq. ft. tiny house that they built themselves in Asheville, North Carolina thanks to Tiny House Giant Journey. Laura LaVoie is the author of 120 Ideas for Tiny Living.
They live and work in this 120 sq. ft. cabin in the mountains of Asheville. Inside you’ll find a storage loft, sleeping loft, open living/dining area, bathroom with composting toilet and manual pump shower, and a kitchen.

In this video interview you’ll get to meet a family of three (husband, wife, and daughter) who have downsized to a 117 sq. ft. tiny home on wheels.
They built it the house from scratch by hand in the mornings while later working nights. It took only 3 months to have it move in ready.
They went from paying $400 a month in utilities with their big house to paying only about $20 a month today in their tiny house. Now the family lives simply with no television.
And for them the decision to go tiny wasn’t just about money. It’s about living a better life for everybody. The house cost about $6-$8k to build thanks to being able to use recycled materials.
They spent an extra $12,000 to put up solar panels to power the house without having to completely rely on the grid. Please enjoy the video tour below.

This one of a kind tiny house was built by Yestermorrow Design/Build School students in Vermont.
It was built during the Fall/Winter 2013 Semester and I think you’ll really enjoy it.
This tiny cabin is unique for many reasons. For one, it’s not permanently attached to a trailer so it’s built wider than most tiny homes.
It also has a wedged-in front door and an oversized back door. You just have to see it to understand (below). Please enjoy and re-share.

This is the story of Kristie Wolfe and how she built her own 230-square-foot tiny cabin in Hawaii in the course of two months for only $11,000! This was after she had built her own 97-square-foot tiny house on wheels in Idaho for just $5,000. But she just couldn’t stop there.
So after a few years, she decided she would buy her own plot of land in Hawaii. She did sight unseen, for $8,000. This would be the location of her second tiny home. Later, she and her mom built the house together using only $11,000 in material cost and two months of labor together. What a cool way to bond, right!
This tiny cabin is 15-ft by 15-ft and sits up on stilts. It’s completely off-grid meaning you even have to rely on rain for water. Don’t worry, she’s got a nice rainwater system set up here. There are even rooftop solar panels for electricity and propane for cooking and heating. Today, the unit is a vacation rental that you can actually book on Airbnb.
