Nikki & Ben live in her self-built 2017 Ford Transit that Nikki and her family converted in just 30 days!
This cabin-inspired beauty is absolutely gorgeous — and yes, it does have a toilet (hidden under the bed) and even a full oven. Nikki and Ben are Commercial Photographer/Videographers (@nikkibigger on Instagram) and are able to travel when COVID-19 isn’t keeping them in one place.
If you want the nitty-gritty on how and what she used to build her van, read her post here. But first, you’ll want to scroll through our pictures below and watch Nikki’s video tour of her van. We also got the chance to interview her, so be sure to stick around and read our Q&A with Nikki at the end of the post!

This is a preview of a whimsical and funky tiny house being built by Incredible Tiny Homes out of Newport, Tennessee. It’s a one-of-a-kind (custom) tiny home on wheels for one of their customers and we just can’t wait to see how it continues to come along.
Pretty fun, right? Obviously, something like this costs more for a builder to do because it takes more time to make it look like this and yet also be a well-built home. It makes sense, I think. Anyway, they’re not finished yet, but I thought I’d let you have a sneak peek at it. In the video below, Randy Jones shows you some of the many other tiny homes they’re building for other clients. Incredible Tiny Homes offers THOWs starting at $20,000.

One of the biggest questions we get here at Tiny House Talk is, “Where do I park it!?” Well, sister-brother duo Melissa and Jon Block of Tiny House Block transformed a run-down trailer park into California’s first legal tiny house village, where they not only welcome short and long term renters, but rent out land to existing tiny house owners. It’s located on the Pacific Crest Trail, in Mount Laguna, beautifully nestled in the trees.
Tiny House Block currently houses 17 tiny homes, each with its own unique theme (including the very popular 420 House, which is marijuana themed). If you’re looking to just try out the tiny life, you can stay for as little as one night and book via Airbnb. But if you’re interested in renting a tiny home long term, you can check out their price guide here and contact them for more details. You can even purchase one of the tiny homes from the village (prices vary).
Already have a tiny home? For $750 a month you get land, water, sewage and trash. Utilities typically come to another $50 per month.
Jenna at Tiny House Giant Journey did a great interview and video tour with Melissa and Jon, so be sure to check that out below! We’ll be following up with tours of each of the Tiny House Block homes, so make sure to sign up for our tiny house newsletter so you don’t miss any.

This is the story of Barbara Diaz and her micro cottage on wheels that she designed and built herself just a few years back. And believe it or not, it’s still not completely finished! Don’t we hear that a lot from many tiny housers?
It’s almost like a home is never really finished right? That’s probably because we’re always evolving and changing (and so is just about everything around us), so as everything changes, so do our needs, and therefore, so does our home! So anyway, here’s an update from Barbara and her micro cottage on wheels down in Florida (Okeechobee). Unfortunately, like many other tiny homeowners, Barbara ran into issues with parking when the RV park was sold, but she ultimately overcame the problem and found a new home in a nearby park.
