I’ve always been a fan of teardrop campers because they’re lightweight and inexpensive.

And that gives people the ability to travel and go on adventures at affordable prices.

With most teardrops you can even use 4-cylinder vehicles to tow. So you also save big on gas.

They’re ultra-light weight and super compact versions of RVs or travel trailers.

And whether you want to go out to hunt, camp, fish or adventure.. One of these little fellas would make a great tag along.

And if you have a large motorcycle, you can probably tow it. I encourage you to tour the rest of this micro camper called The Simple Sleeper Teardrop by Trekker Trailers below (it even has A/C!):

Hot on the heels of his e-Cours(E), Small Home, Big Life, Andrew Odom is at it again with a new online offering.

This one is super cool and I couldn’t wait to tell you about it.

Drew is going to teach us all how to decorate our tiny homes in style!

I love this idea that your tiny house doesn’t have to be just a rustic wood cabin. There are so many possible options available and the only thing limiting you is your imagination. Well, maybe the space a little. I would love to see someone put a slide in their tiny house!  (Anyone want to accept that challenge – Deek?)

I encourage you to read more of my thoughts below.

I think you’re going to love how this guy turned a 182 sq. ft. storage space into an awesome, fully livable 8-room micro apartment in Seattle.

That’s right. At first he was just looking for some storage space to keep some of his extra stuff. Once he took a better look, he immediately realized that the space had more potential than just for storage.

Since he used to design airplane interiors for Boeing, he decided to use his expertise to create a home that would fit into the 182-square-foot storage space.

I’m so excited to show you this solar powered modified Tumbleweed Epu tiny house on wheels.

As you can tell it’s been slightly modified. First with the barn style roof, different sized windows, larger front door and open porch.

If you study the Epu plans real quick you’ll notice that the interior was left almost the same. They just changed a few things a little here and there but the layout is basically the same.

I know we’ve been posting a lot about the Tiny House Hotel lately.

But Faircompanies has released interviews and video tours of the tiny houses on the property.

I’m so inspired how someone found a way to turn what used to be a repossessed car lot into a Tiny House Hotel called The Caravan.

From Repossessed Car Lot to a Tiny House Hotel

I encourage you to watch the video below to hear how it was done! Including how zoning was passed and how the tiny homes on wheels got there.

Any time tiny houses make it onto a non-tiny house blog the comments turn to “oh, I could never do that.” When The Tiny Life Infographic that Ryan Mitchell published early this year made it to Gizmodo on Monday, September 2, 2013, the comments began pouring in. The same old objections came up in several ways.

  • Permitting is just impossible.
  • This is only feasible for one person.
  • I couldn’t fit all my stuff in it.
  • Why not just get an RV?

I thought I might take a minute to readdress these objections. Living in a tiny house is not an untested theory. I have been doing it comfortably for over a year and I know several other tiny house dwellers that have happily downsized as well.

Today I wanted to show you a unique project where two ladies turn an abandoned metro bus into a classy home on wheels. Big thanks to reader Mike B. for sending me the link to this awesome project on Facebook (like us there!) that I’m now getting to share with all of you.

Projects like this are always inspiring to me because people are taking something old and unwanted and turning it into something new that lots of people would really, really want. Okay so let me show you what the bus originally looked like real quick:

You might have already learned about the Tiny House Hotel in Laura’s recent post.

I’ve even featured a few of their tiny houses recently including the Miter Box.

The best part is that you (and anyone else) can stay in these awesome little homes.

Almost two years ago I blogged about giant sewage tubes being turned into a tiny house hotel in Mexico.

Today, so far, we’ve got three stick built tiny houses on trailers in Portland, Oregon as the country’s first official “Tiny House Hotel.”

And I’ll bet there’s more in the works. But anyways, let me introduce you to the owners and creators of this magnificent place.

I really like this tiny cabin‘s modern look and feel.

Especially because everything remains simple. Really simple.

This modern micro house was designed to be a weekend getaway.

In it you’ll find a lofted sleeping area with a great view thanks to the cabin’s design.

There’s a screened porch area along with a deck. Take a look for yourself below.
