One of our amazing Tiny House Newsletter readers, Paul Jordan, just shared this amazing smart house that changes shape according to the weather. It’s not tiny. It’s hardly small. It’s not very simple. But I still think it’s pretty brilliant and want to show it to you right now.

And who knows, maybe we can use some of these ideas for designing a smart tiny house for the future? It’s called the D*Haus and it’s the creation of David Groenberg and Daniel Wolfson, two British architects. The house has 8 different configurations depending on the weather and changing seasons.

Right now I want to show you the Ravenlore Tiny House on Wheels built by Jim Wilkins of Tiny Green Cabins.

It’s 22′ long by 8′ wide and weighs about 13,500 lbs. Something unique about it, too, is that it sits on a 4 axle trailer. And it also has a built in solar system.

It’s now owned by Nicki Jo Davis who just bought it and hasn’t quite yet moved in but is in the process of doing so. Please enjoy and re-share below. Thank you!

The people over at Buzzfeed set up a fun video experiment where they have a few different people trying to live in a 112 sq. ft. tiny house on wheels.

It’s on an 8′ x 16′ trailer. Inside there’s just about 6′ x 13′ of space plus an additional 8′ x 6′ sleeping loft.

BA spent about $25,000 to build this house. Fortunately, she was able to build it herself so she saved over $20,000 in labor costs. If she had to pay for labor, the home would’ve normally cost her nearly $50,000.

Yesterday you might have heard about a tiny house on wheels being stolen from someone’s property.

Fortunately, Casey found the house last night. And I’m so happy that he did. But now I just don’t want anything like this to ever happen to you. I’ve been thinking, “what can we all learn from this?” And, “what did Casey learn from this that we should know?”

So I decided to put some information together for you to help protect your current or future tiny house on wheels from being stolen. This is all especially important if you leave the premises for long periods of time.

If you have any other tiny house security tips that I missed and that would be helpful to the rest of the community about protecting a trailered tiny home from potential thieves (or even break ins) then please tell us about it in the comments below.
