I had to show you this weird but interesting Villa Hamster tiny house in Nantes, France.

It’s a hotel that you can actually stay at and it’s set up with a human-sized hamster wheel inside!

Beyond that you can climb a spiral staircase up to your sleeping loft. I think it wouldd be pretty fun to stay there, how about you?

When I looked further into it, however, it seems like the human-sized hamster wheel has been removed and replaced with a more functional built-in table (see below). Don’t worry, I’ll show you both versions of this tiny house below. 🙂

This is a funny video by Rhett and Link who are famous comedians on YouTube. In this episode of their Good Mythical Morning show they talk about the tiny house movement. And they ask their viewers the question, could you live in a tiny home?

Rhett seems to pretty interested in and excited about the tiny house movement while Link is amused but pretty skeptical about it. So I thought you might enjoy watching. It’s definitely different than normal tiny house videos because these guys are just funny. They also show you a few tiny houses in the video (below) too.

Please enjoy and feel free to re-share with your friends who might also like it down below. Thanks!

What a quaint getaway cottage!  Newly renovated and offered through VRBO, this property is perfect for getting away from the hubbub of the city.  Bright and airy, with generous views and access to Flax Pond, where you’ll enjoy kayaking, swimming or fishing in its clear fresh waters.

With 2 bedrooms (each furnished with a queen size bed) and 1 1/2 baths, you can comfortably vacation with your small family or a couple of friends.  Enjoy coffee or cocktails on the sun porch, peacefully overlooking Flax Pond.  The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances and all necessary cooking utensils.  There is even a charcoal grill so that you can cook and eat at the cottage, if you wish.  The cottage also contains a washer and dryer for your convenience.

Located in a quiet and peaceful waterside neighborhood, and surrounded by lots of trees and greenery, you will have many “important” choices to make each day:  relax in the hammock, take a hike on one of the several hiking trails, or visit one of the many beaches in Dennis and Cape Cod.

Michael Ostaski is an artist who started his career by traveling in his original house truck while going to events and sharing his art with people.

Today I’m showing you Michael’s 1999 Sterling House Truck because it’s still available (for sale) and he’s lowering the price to $70,000 (USD).

I’m also here to bring up another idea… Have you ever thought of building your tiny house right onto the frame of a diesel truck like this one? Why would you or why wouldn’t you? Let’s talk about it in the comments below.

The Pit House is a modern small home in Japan designed by UID Architects.

It has about 1487 sq. ft. of total floor space inside, so to most of us, this not that small at all.

But to others, it might be. Either way I thought it was so unique I had to show you!

And any one of us can take some of these design ideas and incorporate it into our own DIY build, right?

This modern small house that was for sale is in Victoria, Australia back in 2015. The first thing you’ll probably notice is the sleek and modern slanted roof, right? Once you step inside you’ll find a very open space with plenty of natural light because of the large windows throughout the main living area.

This modern small home boasts two bedrooms, one bathroom, an amazing kitchen, a large open living space, and a cozy covered outdoor space. It also features a separate garage/storage. This isn’t a tiny house, but it’s a pretty cool small home, isn’t it? And it’s definitely no McMansion so I thought you might be able to get some inspiration from it. Please enjoy and if you like it re-share below with your friends. Thanks.

It’s been two years in the making, but Small is Beautiful: A Tiny House Documentary is finally here!

This isn’t the first documentary on Tiny Houses, but it’s definitely unique. Here’s what Jeremy Beasley, the director, has to say:

“I wasn’t aiming to glorify tiny house living. I explored what it is really like to build and live in a tiny house, sharing the subjects struggle and triumphs – and their real life journey through it.  I wanted the film to go deeper than trends or aesthetic. I wanted it to be courageous and vulnerable. To explore the real human aspect living tiny.”

What inspired you to make the movie?

“The idea of having a 30 year mortgage is not something I’m comfortable with, so I started researching alternative ways to live. How could I live with less material possessions, in a smaller space and I thought what better way to learn about it than to interview the people in the process or already doing it. I started making a few short films of people living in shipping container houses and on boat houses and eventually ended up in Portland, Oregon where the Tiny House community is incredibly strong and offered a really deep, beautiful and inspiring look into tiny houses.”
