Cindy downsized from a four-bedroom home into this stunning 16×40-foot Deluxe Casita from Better Built Structures in South Eastern Oklahoma — and she did it all on a single income, paying cash as she went. She designed the floor plan herself, hired local builders to finish it out, and now has a completely debt-free home for her retirement with a full kitchen, a spacious ground-floor bedroom with ensuite bathroom, a walk-in tile shower, a stacked washer/dryer, and even a guest loft.

Kenton Zerbin ditched his 9-5 as a teacher to build his very own debt-free, off-grid tiny house on wheels! Now he grows his own food, composts in his little home, and travels the world teaching others about how to successfully go tiny. And he has in-person Canadian workshops coming up, as well as an online workshop you can purchase any time!

These workshops are designed to give you all the information you need to plan your very own tiny house (and build it!) without making costly mistakes. You’ll learn about heating and cooling your tiny, about plumbing options, tiny house legality, and where to park your tiny! Both the in-person and online workshops cover similar topics, but obviously the in-person ones will give you a special connection to Kenton and other tiny-homers!

He has Canadian in-person workshops coming up in October, and you can purchase the online workshop right now here! Keep reading to see a photo tour of Kenton’s very own THOW!

Leah and Brennan live in Florida on Brennan’s family farm. The unique part? They’re living in their second RV conversion!

Back in 2018, the couple traded their house for a self-renovated 1989 RV, lovingly named The Ramblr. Now they’re in their second RV — a fifth wheel named The Ramblr 2.0 (@the_ramblr_rv), which they plan to take on their travels next year. They only spent $6.5k on their second RV conversion, and really made the place a home. Instead of choosing the trendy decor, they decorated with their own eclectic sense of style and it makes the place all the better!

Thanks to Allison over at Tiny Home Tours, we can take a tour of their tiny home and get to know more about the awesome couple!

Scott and Ashley of the Hive Drive Bus stayed at the wagon recently, and sent us their fantastic pictures and video tour of their stay. The ranch is fully-functional, and there are animals for you to meet and restaurant dinners to enjoy. Enjoy their tour at the end of the post.

Meet Clare Colins, one absolutely amazing 60-something who sold her house, paid off her mortgage and got rid of nearly everything she owned to travel Australia in her Mouse House van!

She spent an entire year sleeping every night her van, and then ended up purchasing a little half-acre (which she calls, “Happenstance”) in a rural area where she hopes to create a mini permaculture farm. On the property, where she spends only some of her time when not travelling, she has 16.5 x 13ft. shed house she calls La Shack.

Besides some new timbers necessary to keep it upright, everything else in the La Shack has been either donated, scrounged, repurposed or re-used! Clare is a photographer by trade, so check out some of her artwork below and make sure to tune into the video tour of the van at the end of the post.

Live close enough to Georgia to make to the drive? There are still spots available at the Off-Grid Workshop at Beloved Cabin, which begins today at 4 pm and runs through Sunday. I know it’s last-minute, but this is such a fantastic opportunity to learn from a couple who have lived off-grid for most of a decade!

John and Fin Kernohan have been living for 8.5+ years in their 304sqft, DIY, off-grid cabin and have created their 16-acre oasis in the Georgia woods known as Beloved Cabin Tiny House Homestead & Stay. This workshop will teach you all about building a 400 watt solar system, BioGas, rainwater collection, composting toilets, and off-grid heating solutions.

You’ll get to camp under the stars (with bathrooms nearby), and enjoy meals and a bonfire with participants. COVID-19 social distancing measures will be in place to keep everyone safe. Get more information and buy tickets here.

When you think “treehouse,” you might envision a cozy wooden structure with buffalo check and enamel mugs — but this fantastic treehouse in Australia is super chic and modern.

Half of the structure is entirely made of huge windows, giving you lovely views of the rainforest below and ocean beyond. Inside you’ll find a living room and kitchenette decorated with eclectic furniture from around the world, and a separate bedroom complete with a king-sized bed. The luxurious bathroom also has a view.

Walk out on the lovely balcony to BBQ some dinner, or sip a glass of wine. Book your stay here.
