The build features the very-popular storage stairs we all need, and a bathroom complete with a subway tile shower stall and closet. The best part? For me, that baby wood stove! Olivia and her husband, Rob, have been living in a narrowboat in England for 7 years now! That’s an impressive amount of time for anyone to live in one place — let alone a tiny spot.
Originally the boat was only meant to offer them shelter temporarily while they saved up for a “normal” house, but once they got into tiny living, they never looked back. Not only can they move their home whenever they’d like, the simplicity of a minimalist life really suits them.
One great thing about their home: No loft! Olivia (@oliviakatewainwright) says the only real pain is emptying their toilet. Read our Q&A with Olivia after the photo tour of her floating home!

Ellie was working day and night in DC, wishing and waiting for the day she could travel again. She grew up overseas and couldn’t help but feel that wanderlust.
After five years of saving and a couple months building out her 2005 Sprinter, she and her cat, Moose, hit the road. Moose is the coolest cat because he goes kayaking and hiking with Ellie! While she occasionally misses the conveniences of city life, she wouldn’t trade them for the freedom she has!

As a former mom of two-under-two, I’m incredibly impressed that Ben and Mia managed to buy and convert this school bus into their full-time home while juggling a baby and barely-toddler! They actually first built a tiny house while living in Sweden (where Mia is from), before moving stateside and choosing a skoolie conversion.
Ben says the school bus was more fun to work on, overall, and they’ve made it an awesome home. Inside you’ll find bunks for both kiddos, a shower with tub, safe hookups for the kids’ car seats, and an impressively pared-down toy collection for the children. All in all, they spent $11,000 on the bus, and another $11,000 on the conversion.

This enchanting treehouse sits suspended between two cypress trees overlooking an emerald river. As the name “Chapelle” would suggest, this vacation spot is inspired by a church or chapel, with twin cathedral-style windows and oodles of (electric) candles as decor.
The inside feels ethereal and romantic, with burgundy accents and ornate finishes. The main room has high ceilings, seating overlooking the river, and a lovely table. There’s a large bathroom complete with both a walk-in shower and a clawfoot tub, as well as a bedroom fit for a royal couple.

There’s nothing like trees to make you feel both small and amazed! This 800-year-old Cypress tree is home to a stunning treehouse, the Bibliotheque. It’s inspired by an old library and has a gas fireplace, leather chairs, and twinkle lights to complete the look.
While a true bibliophile might need more bookcases, this is still a wonderful retreat for book-lovers! This is the story of Anthony Davies’ basic summer cottage re-build. It’s a 450-sq.-ft. tiny home that was originally built without water or electricity in Vilnius, Lithuania, but all of that is about to change with a big make-over adding electricity and water to the cottage.
Believe it or not, this tiny house has been used by the family for 4 generations. Talk about using what you have! How awesome is that? This is the story of Brother Paul Wright’s teeny tiny house that was built for just around $100 over in Dothan, Alabama.
You see, Paul has been building tiny little structures like this ever since he can remember, using wood and even cardboard as a kid to build temporary forts. So now, Paul is bringing that childhood energy to this little project so that they can have a travel trailer tiny house as well as a micro guest house on their property. How cool is that?
