Chad was flipping homes on the West Coast, but the cost of living was getting out of hand. Someone suggested vanlife to him, and at first he balked at the idea of living in a van post-40-years-old. But when he found out he could design and plan the whole thing, he got interested.
Due to supply chain issues with getting a new van, it took almost 2 full years from the time he bought the van until he moved in. But now he wouldn’t have his “Bearded Van” life any other way! His creative build has a giant bed and tons of room for his photography equipment.

Anjali graduated from college and wanted to travel, so she built out her first van to let her see some of the country. Then her job as a software engineer went remote in 2020, and she decided to build a bigger and better van (named Vinny).

Cynthia had been thinking of going tiny for a while, but she was initially nervous about telling her grown children and friends about her idea. But she conquered her fear, bought a Ford Transit Connect, and converted it all herself!

Meet Anne and Brian, a couple who had originally planned to live on their sailboat but ended up trading it for a motorhome instead. They have been living on the water in Whiltshire for about a year and will soon move to Oxford and live on the Thames.

James was excited to be sober, but he was facing homelessness again due to rent issues. That’s when he found a UHaul and spent a whole year watching YouTube videos to help him convert it into his own home.
He really prioritized a comfortable bathroom and plenty of water storage. He has a standard 32×32 shower stall and deep sink in his large kitchen. He got tons of finishes from IKEA and spent about $10K on the conversion. After living in it full-time for a while, he uses it for weekend warrior trips more locally. He has plans to sell it in the near future.

Johnny got his bus for $3,000—and it needed a lot of work, especially regarding rust! A year and a half later, he was able to move into his truly beautiful skoolie, which he calls Miles O’ Smiles.
He made sure to keep his two large dogs in mind when building, creating a comfortable under-bed lounge area for them and ensuring he could keep the temperature comfortable for his fur babies. He has a unique couch and dinette design that provides both comfort and functionality, so be sure to watch the video for the details!

Dan and Sam are content creators (Dan has a hunting podcast and Sam has documented her surrogacy journey) who decided it was time to hit the road in their 2021 RV. Because the RV was newer, they haven’t had to do much to it to enjoy it!
Their two kids have a bunk over the cab, and they have a back bedroom with an “RV King” bed. Slide-outs allow lots of room in the main living space and there’s storage everywhere for school stuff, art supplies, and snacks. Enjoy the tour!
