Jack fulfilled one of his teenage dreams: Building his very own tiny house, with the help of his dad! He built his first micro cabin at the age of 13, and he actually reused material from that to build his current house. In fact, he reused so many materials he found free or cheap that he was able to complete the tiny house for just £5,000 (around $6K).

He began building in 2020 when he started university, and he continued for three years. He recently finished school to be a filmmaker and he owns his own home! You won’t believe how amazing it looks on the inside.

While many “Hobbit Holes” on Airbnb feature tons of natural wood and dark stains, this little cottage in McKinney, Texas pairs the natural wood with bright white walls and a stunning pebbled bathroom that feels inviting and uplifting! The outdoor patio and picket fence really complete the cheerful Hobbiton vibe.

Inside you’ll find a custom hand-made round bed that stands as the grand feature of the interior. The headboard is also round, matching the front door. While there aren’t any kitchen appliances inside, there is a spacious bathroom complete with a copper basin sink and a barrel-inspired soaking tub, so you can feel like a dwarf on his way to Laketown (but less squashed).

Matheu and Taylor live in a custom Tumbleweed tiny house with one dog, two cats, and their turtle! They have an excellent parking spot at Island Cove Park in Durango, Colorado, which keeps them close to the city but still gives them a more affordable living situation.

They had been living in a three-bedroom home, but when they tried out a smaller apartment, they realized just how little they needed! Matheu “built” a tiny house on the Tumbleweed website, and when Taylor got home, he presented the plan. They love living tiny, and we think you’ll love their tour below.

Tiny homes with first-floor bedrooms are becoming more and more popular — and for good reason! People were tired of climbing into lofts to go to sleep, and the builders are now really listening to the consumer. This is the first tiny house from New York-based Pine Crest Tiny Homes that we’re showing you, but I’m sure it won’t be the last.

One thing that makes this design work is the Murphy bed in the main bedroom. This bed folds up “longways” which means it feels like a daybed/couch when folded out and makes the space function like a proper living room. There are also two extra lofts for additional sleeping space or storage. Get it today for $106,500!

Neil and his family wanted a vacation home where they could get out of the city and enj0y the nature in Joshua Tree. Why container homes? Because it was cool and different! What they thought would take a year or two and $150,000 ended up taking three full years and over $650K to complete. But now that it’s done, it’s available on Airbnb for the whole world to enjoy.

The house has one main container where there’s a kitchen and living room. Two bedrooms and a bathroom sit in one of the other two containers, and the primary bedroom and luxury bathroom take up the other one. In the middle of everything, there’s a concrete patio with outdoor furniture and a giant Adirondack chair. There’s even a container pool to cool off in! What do you think?
