Ideal Tiny T-Linked Homes: 376-Square-Foot Three-Bedroom Layout with Two Baths

Ideal Tiny created this T-shaped linked tiny home configuration that fits three bedrooms and two bathrooms into 376 square feet. The design connects a 25.5-foot unit with a 27.5-foot unit via a central deck that functions as a courtyard. French doors in the bedrooms open directly onto this outdoor space, blurring the line between interior and exterior living. The single-story layout eliminates loft climbing while accommodating two queen bedrooms and one kids’ room with twin beds.

Lessons from This Design

  • Linking Units Multiplies Layout Options: Connecting two separate tiny homes in a T-shape creates room arrangements impossible in a single trailer, including three ground-floor bedrooms without sacrificing living space
  • Courtyards Create Usable Outdoor Rooms: The T-configuration naturally forms a semi-enclosed courtyard that provides wind protection and privacy while extending the living area outdoors
  • Single-Story Improves Accessibility: Eliminating loft bedrooms makes the home accessible to those who cannot climb ladders and provides full-height ceilings in every room
  • Two Bathrooms Reduce Morning Bottlenecks: For families with children, dual bathrooms prevent the scheduling conflicts that single-bathroom tiny homes create during busy morning and evening hours
  • French Doors Blur Indoor-Outdoor Boundaries: Large glass doors that open fully onto a deck make compact interiors feel larger by borrowing visual space from the outdoors

Well designed and welcoming! Be still my heart, is that a dishwasher in the kitchen????? I think I’d choose a counter-height table so I have the option of using it for counter space when it’s not needed to seat multiple diners. A floor plan would allow us to see if there was room for an island on wheels that would add that same versatility but that could also be an option. I love all the big windows, too. Though not absolutely perfect, it is very livable and feels comfy. Thanks for sharing so we can all see ideas for our own living situations.
