Festive decorated tiny house vardo with Christmas ornaments and reindeer figure.

Merry Christmas from all of us at Tiny House Talk! To celebrate the day, we have an awesome video from Jenna at Tiny House Giant Journey. She and her family recently purchased an adorable Vardo-style tiny house to use for vacations, and you’ll get a tour of the micro space below. The house was originally hand-built by a talented craftsman, but he was ready to sell it after it had been in storage for a couple of years.

You’ll also get to see adorable footage of Jenna’s baby son, Finch! Her friends and family help her decorate the Vardo with tons of lights and Santa statues, and you won’t want to miss it.

A-Frame cabin in Quebec surrounded by colorful autumn trees, perfect for a peaceful getaway.

This is a beautiful A-frame cabin in the woods of Quebec with no loft bedroom, but rather an open-concept studio-style design that allows for a queen bed on the first floor. There’s a small addition on one wall which adds a bit more square footage to the space.

A 3/4 bathroom with a tiled shower stall and a small kitchenette sit side by side.  The home is set in a clearing in the woods, and the outdoor living area includes a fire pit and wood-fired hot tub. I think I could hide away here forever.

Floating tiny house with deck and boat docks on a serene river.

Brandon and Sarah started their on-the-water life about four years ago, by completely renovating an old 225-square-foot houseboat they have moored in North Carolina. While they loved that first home, it was time for an upgrade! The maximum size they were allowed was a 360 square foot living space and 400 square feet of deck — so that’s what they did.

Now they have a bedroom with space to walk around the bed, a loft bedroom for guests, more counterspace, and a breathtaking two-basin copper sink! There’s even a 100-gallon stock tank bathtub in the bathroom where they can relax after a long day of work. Could you live on the water like this?

Luxury tiny home built from a converted semi truck trailer.

Heidi and Mike are an incredible couple who got the wild idea to build a tiny house from a semi-truck trailer! Since they had no prior building experience, the idea of simply cutting out windows and doors rather than framing a whole structure was attractive to them. That said, when you see the interior, you’ll be floored at what they learned to produce this caliber of tiny home.

They actually started off living in tents while building the semi. Still, the windy season made it miserable, so they purchased another unfinished trailer to keep them out of the elements. Eventually, it will become a guest area! For now, they live in the leading semi with a convertible bedroom, tons of under-floor storage, and a beautiful spa-like bathroom. Let us know what you love most in the comments!
