Treehouses are magical, but how about a treehouse overlooking a Fjord in Norway? This spectacular modern wonder has all the amenities you’ll need for a vacation stay, and views that will make you never want to leave!
The building is in fact built around one single tree (safely, so the tree can keep growing!) and includes a shower, flushing toilet and kitchenette.
And best of all, the builders of the Woodnest used non-toxic and sustainable products to create their dwelling, so you can feel good about staying here! Book your vacation (well, when it’s safe to do so…) here.

Take in Fjord Views from a Nordic Treehouse
A ramp gives you access to the treehouse.
The design inspiration was a Nordic pinecone.
The sitting area lets you take in all the views.
Wow! Are there words!?
This hallway takes you the bathroom.
Modern flushing toilet.
Sleek mini sink.
What a cozy and romantic spot.
Make a little tea and coffee.
Here’s a couch. But wait, there’s more!
Now it’s a bed!

Woodnest was to build an authentic treehouse; meaning a house up in one tree! Woodnest brings you the adventure of Norwegian nature without having to forgo luxury and comfort. Nestled in nature, Woodnest is a luxury treehouse experience: each treehouse has electricity, a small kitchenette, high speed wifi, a flushing toilet and shower. Each treehouse is equipped with floor heating to keep you cosy during winter nights.
Looking for a romantic weekend escape? Or a small group adventure? Woodnest is the perfect getaway for you! At Woodnest, there are two Treehouses on our property, each having a 4 person capacity. Inside you will find a double bed and two single beds. The treehouses are situated in the Norwegian woods overlooking the Hardanger fjord, in a beautiful town called Odda.

in my honest opinion- this treehouse doesnt have enough support………..
why not build a larger house with that spectacular view?
Well, multiple reasons… Environmental impact and love of nature. It’s also harder to build a larger house on a hillside with that much slope and would include higher costs, would go against the point of being part of nature and feeling among the trees instead of just near them, larger house would make it harder to always have a good view of the exterior… among a few other reasons for what this is intended for…
I don’t think the trees get tall enough there to go higher since the living tree is the center of the house and I would think it would be attached inside. Also not wanting to take out more trees.
What can I say??? What an extraordinary little treehouse — of course the views are stellar!!!
They’re almost unbelievable!
This is absolutely amazing! What a clever design! Lovely finishes, lovely views, lovely home. I am impressed!!
I’m just so impressed there’s plumbing! And those views…if only we could travel again!
