Savannah dreamed of van life but was initially worried about what others would think. She eventually realized no one was living her life but her, and outfitted her own DIY van conversion she calls the “Babe Cave.”
The build features a full-sized bed, micro kitchen, and space for her cat and co-pilot, George. The exterior is intentionally stealthy, while huge drawers accessible from the back of the van in the garage space maximize storage.

Caroline works as a Merchant Marine, which means she is on for two-and-half months and then off for about the same time. She used to just go home and “do nothing” during her time off and was wanting to use her time better. It was then that her captain actually recommended vanlife!
She had no idea that people actually lived in vans, but now that she has one, she loves it. Her rig actually has a toilet/shower but it’s currently broken (hopefully she can get it fixed soon!). Recently Caroline got a bike to help her get around town without needing to move her whole van.

Below is a beautiful van tour with Kalen and her cats. Unfortunately, the van and most of her belongings are gone since she had an accident and rollover. Fortunately, she and the cats are all okay. This is the story of Jed and Sandy’s full-time van life. The couple initially sold their home in North Carolina, quit their jobs, and downsized into a 30-foot travel trailer. After traveling in the trailer, they decided to downsize further into a van to access more remote locations during their travels.
Their DIY extended Sprinter conversion features a functional layout with plenty of built-in storage, a kitchen, cabinets, and a bathroom with recirculating shower and composting toilet. Today, they continue traveling as full-time nomads.

Sarah had experience traveling and camping, but her launch into vanlife wasn’t as predetermined as one might expect! Stephanie made sure to include everything that was important to her in her van, including an oven and three-burner stove so she could cook anything she dreamed up. She also made space for a shower and a toilet, making this truly a micro home on wheels.
Before van life, Stephanie was a chef and owned a food truck, but in her first month of van life said she saw more of the US than she had in her whole life! Needless to say, the travel bug is strong with her and she will keep going until she’d ready for something new.

I don’t know that I’ve ever heard of a vanlife couple who spent as much time and forethought regarding making the move into a vehicle! They spent a full year plotting and planning and discussing all the things that could go wrong in order to prepare themselves. Now that they’ve been living tiny for over a year, they consider their van a “sanctuary” no matter where they go!
The result? An awesome van that perfectly suits their stealthy needs — Becky can take the van to work as a travel nurse and park at the hospital, and Drew works from the van (or a co-working space) as a digital nomad. Their bed design is a brilliant middle ground between “take it all apart” and permanent.

Lefty is a thyroid cancer survivor on the trip of his life visiting all the national parks! He rock climbs, bikes, and camps out in each park until he’s seen it all, and then he moves on to the next location. When he’s done with all the physical exertion of his day, he crawls into his super comfy fixed bed and calls it a night.
He has a cool outdoor shower set-up and a composting toilet box that doubles as his swivel chair footrest. But one of his special upgrades to the Ram ProMaster was the custom bug netting that he installed. While it’s not cheap, he said it’s one of the better investments he made for van life. Enjoy the tour!
