Seth was already converting a rig when he met Christy, but when they got married, she wasn’t interested in living in a vehicle. Eventually, however, she warmed up to the idea, and they ended up converting an ambulance together, so they could see more of the United States.

While they removed the name “ambulance” from the outside, it still mostly looks like an emergency vehicle to keep them pretty stealthy. They have a hidden AC unit, a convertible bed, and a shower which they use all the time! Enjoy their video tour below.

Aaron and his wife Sarah live full-time in the 2002 Chevy Express 2500 that he converted for just $22k (including the $6k for the bus itself). He had always dreamed of traveling, so he could enjoy all kinds of adventure sports, and was lucky enough to find a partner who loved the same things.

Amazingly, he documented the entire build process, and you can see a 50-second video below of a time-lapse of the conversion! He also has a few more videos explaining the build process and the choices they made. Check it out below!

Aries Soul Traveler loved traveling but couldn’t keep dropping $600 for a weekend stay in a hotel. When she found vanlife, it seemed like the perfect solution — her own budget-friendly hotel room on wheels! She lives in a townhome and takes her van on adventures during the weekends (and vacations).

She hired a local carpenter to help her create the most adorable van conversion I’ve seen so far. This shabby-chic farmhouse van has weathered wood and vintage-inspired appliances that make this rig feel like a cozy cottage. What do you think?

Chad was flipping homes on the West Coast, but the cost of living was getting out of hand. Someone suggested vanlife to him, and at first he balked at the idea of living in a van post-40-years-old. But when he found out he could design and plan the whole thing, he got interested.

Due to supply chain issues with getting a new van, it took almost 2 full years from the time he bought the van until he moved in. But now he wouldn’t have his “Bearded Van” life any other way! His creative build has a giant bed and tons of room for his photography equipment.

Cazzy and Bradley are one amazing couple who have been globetrotting since 2016! Their travels have taken them from South America to Sri Lanka to Scotland and the US. While they’ve taken plenty of planes, trains, and automobiles to get around the earth so far, their latest mode of transportation has been their self-converted van.

And they are driving that van in a loop around the world! So far, I haven’t heard of anyone else attempting something that cool. Enjoy the photo tour of their van below, and be sure to read our Q&A with the couple at the end of the post.
