Elizabeth suggested vanlife to Destiny as a joke, but before they knew it, the couple was leaving regular 9-5 city life behind and jumping into converting a van. Neither of them had a lot of experience, but you’d never know looking at their gorgeous home on wheels.

I love that they chose a round table-top — even though it takes up space, there are no sharp edges to bump into. They also put an oven in their van, which is on the rarer side. They also fit a fixed bed and a couch inside — so spacious!

Johnny’s van life began in 2019 in a VW Bus which he loved, but ultimately he wanted some more space. So he upgraded to a Ford Transit with an incredible convertible system that can be set up in a number of wild combinations (bed, desk, dinette, and more!).

He does have a storage unit where he keeps his seasonal toys, so he only carries the adventure gear he needs for the season at hand. That’s a great option for an outdoor enthusiast like Johnny! What do you think of his rig?

Meet Betty, Jens, Coco (their dog), and their beautiful police-vehicle-turned-tiny-home! Betty & Jens have been using their VW T4 conversion as a vacation home on wheels for the past three years. Because this is a smaller van, it’s so impressive how functional they were able to make it!

We had the chance to interview Betty & Jans about their part-time van life and what inspired them to buy the van. Check out the pictures below and be sure to read the Q&A at the end of the post.

Linda and Bill got to the point where their children and even their grandkids were growing up and had busy lives of their own, so they wanted to get out and explore the world at last! They liquidated their assets and converted the van, which includes a convertible bed, bathroom with a shower and toilet, and two swivel seats.

On their first adventure, they went all around Central America and were just about to come home via Costa Rica when their van was mistakenly taken by the government there due to “incomplete papers.” It took a year and a half due to the 2020 restrictions, but they eventually got the van back and had it shipped to Florida. They’re happy to be on the road again, exploring the country!

Bekah & Bryce discovered they loved everything outdoorsy when they moved to Seattle and found themselves spending too much time setting up their campsite every week. A van was a way to enjoy their weekend excursions because it gave them more time for adventure sports! But as the world shut down in 2020, the van stopped looking like a weekend retreat and more of a full-time escape.

Eventually, they chose to move into the van and haven’t looked back. They have a pretty luxurious rig, with a shower & toilet, a fixed bed with a huge garage for their toys, and a kitchen that houses a fancy espresso machine. They even installed a bench seat so up to four people can safely travel in their van at once. What do you think?

Goldie has such a fun vibe and she loves her ever-evolving sense of style. While her work in the cannabis industry kept her traveling frequently for work, she was a little hesitant to jump into full-time vanlife because of her hat collection and expansive wardrobe.

She purchased her van about four years ago and slowly converted it when she had the time and money. At the time of filming, she had been on the road for a few months and made some immediate changes to her kitchen for maximum functionality! Let us know what you love about her rig.

Brenda and her dog Ranger have been on the road for 2 years. While this is their second tour with Tiny Home Tours, a lot has changed in her van since she first jumped into nomadic life. One of the biggest changes was that her cab was broken into while she was asleep. After that, she added a bunch of safety features to her van to give her more peace of mind on the road.

She also swapped out a port-a-potty for more storage, added a ton of fake plants, and included a dedicated workspace that she confesses she rarely uses! Let us know your favorite part of her rig in the comments.

Natalie and Lucas are a super cool couple who own a tiny house, a sailboat, and a van! They primarily live out of the tiny house and van conversion, and Jenna at Tiny House Giant Journey did a great tour of their Sprinter.

They prioritized a fixed bed that runs longways in the van to provide them with a comfortable place to sleep, but they also created some standing office space as well, so they can work while on the road. Enjoy seeing all the fun features below.
