Katelyn and Katie owned a 3-bedroom home and two cars, but decided it was time to simplify! The couple and their daughter had an RV renovated by Our Lively Tribe RV Renovations, moved in and then started traveling to National Parks.
The home has a super cool kids’ room, extra comfy couch-bed for snuggles, and then they rearranged the main bedroom layout by turning the bed sideways! They are expecting another baby this spring and then will be off traveling again.
This is the story of DualEX and how he has recently transformed this old RV into his very own high-tech tiny house so that he can move to upstate New York with a friend.
Remember when he built out a $3500 van-based tiny house? That was cool! Now you can see how he has transformed this old travel trailer into a beautiful and affordable new living space for himself. How awesome is that?

The Sport is 12’6″ in length (16’8″ with hitch), 7’4″ wide, and 8’8″ tall. Full specs below. What do you think?
This is an epic 1948 Spartan Royal Mansion 40-foot Travel Trailer RENOVATION. I was contacted by Greg Parham of Rocky Mountain Tiny Homes about it because it was for sale but has now been SOLD! Anyway, it’s still super-awesome, and you should definitely check it out and learn more about it. So, here’s the story on it…
Greg Parham’s brother-in-law bought the old Spartan and hired his super-talented aerospace engineer friend to renovate it and turn it into what it is today. He then used it briefly to live in while building a new home. Now that his residential home is complete, he’s looking to sell this epic and vintage Spartan trailer which served him oh so well. It’s AMAZING, isn’t it?
It’s a micro cabin on wheels that he built from scratch that makes for the perfect adventure vehicle. What do you think? Could a project like this be a good way to start building tiny? We think so…
This is a lightweight handcrafted micro camper built by American Wagon Company out of Willamina, Oregon.
I learned about them thanks to Jenna over at Tiny House Giant Journey who posted about them on her Instagram and so I was excited to share it with you because it looks like a great solution for a lightweight travel trailer that looks and feels like a tiny house or cabin. What do you think?
