UPDATE: Just popping back in here to update this post with an awesome video tour from Tiny Home Tours of Will & Devan’s home, including details on how tiny life has been treating them since we last talked to them. Watch it below!

After purging plenty and donating some 20 bags of clothing, Will & Devan were ready to move into their tiny house, crafted for them by Liberation Tiny Homes.

The lovely house features two lofts with a split storage staircase, a breathtaking custom kitchen, and a bathroom with a huge 5-foot walk in shower and a flush toilet.

While the couple has only been living tiny now for just over a month, they’re loving the home they designed and are ready for their tiny adventure. We got to do a Q&A with the couple which you can read after the photo tour!

Meet Grace! This is her tiny house on wheels that she lives in with her fiance Ryan and dog Tofu. They settled on the ONE model from ESCAPE and found a gorgeous wooded spot for it to live on the Massachusetts-New Hampshire border.

Grace (@inner.grace on Instagram) works as a yoga instructor and health/mindset coach and her plant-filled home couldn’t feel more peaceful. We interviewed her about her decision to go tiny and her minimalist lifestyle, so be sure to check out the Q&A at the end of the post!

Just about three years ago we interviewed Brian and Alexis, the owners of the Juniper THOW they built with help from Backcountry Tiny Homes. The couple (and their dog) had just finished up the house at the time, but now they’ve been tiny-housing it for more than three years! We decided to get back in touch and see how tiny life has lived up to their expectations and changed their lives for the better.

While magazine-ready photos of THOWs are fun to look at, it’s great to see all of Brian and Alexis’ Instagram pictures (follow them @living_the_tiny_dream) showing what real life in a tiny house looks like. Because of choosing to live tiny, Brian has successfully paid off all his student loans (Congratulations!) and the couple pays less than $12 a quarter in electricity. That’s impressive!

Check out their real-life pictures in the photo tour below, and then find our Q&A with the couple at the end of this post.

Tracy is an amazing single mom who is supporting her two children, Jack and Anna, while working flexible hours (many from her tiny house). They live in a “Tiny Town” village in Durango, Colorado, where they’ve been now for three years.

Because of their THOW she’s able to keep her kids first and work around their needs and schedule, while still affording a beautiful home for them to live and grow in. Oh, and they also have two cats! Enjoy the video tour from Tiny Home Tours/YouTube below.

Sylvie bought a tiny house to have a permanent, full-time home for her and her teenage daughter.

Living tiny gives her more financial freedom. Her house will be paid for in 10 years, and she already has more flexibility to travel and spend time doing what she loves. She also hopes that her new minimalist lifestyle will allow her to help save money for her daughter’s studies when the time comes.

Pat & Mel built this tiny house in Ontario, Canada as a way to stop paying rent, and to start living a simple, minimalist lifestyle.

They lived in it completely off the grid for 3 years while it was parked on a friend’s land, but they recently decided to sell the tiny home and buy a house because it was cheaper than buying vacant land (a down payment on a piece of land in Ontario is often 35%, while the cost of a down payment on a home is often as low as 5%).

While they were living in the house, they were completely off the grid. They used a wood stove for heat, solar panels for electricity, propane for hot water and cooking, and they collected rainwater for all of their water needs. They used a composting toilet (Nature’s Head) since they didn’t have access to a septic system.

We all love admiring staged tiny houses, captured by professional photography in ambient light, but have you ever wondered what these tiny houses look like after they’ve been lived in for a while? Or what they look like once the staging furniture is gone and your stuff is inside?

Andy Bretz over at THoW – Economic Hippie shared a whole album of pictures showing his lived-in THOW. We featured the builder’s pictures last month, so go check those out first and compare it to the sampling shown below! Plus on the last page you can read our interview with Andy about his tiny life, including his love of cooking and the challenges tiny living brings.

Want to see even more pictures? Check out the rest of his album here.
