Well, have I got a story for you -Rev. Jeff Obafemi Carr, once homeless himself, is living in Nashville’s FIRST micro model home until enough money is raised to build a village of micro-homes for the homeless.
Through the efforts Infinity Fellowship where he is the Lead Minister, Jeff is living in a 60 square foot micro-home and will continue to live there until enough funds are raised to build a “micro-village” for homeless to live in for FREE. This is a crowd-funded GoFundMe page initiative that has raised more than half of the $50,000 needed so far. Jeff has been living there for 26 days now while his wife and five children continue to live in their residence.
Please see media release below, as well as photos attached for more information.

This is a guest post by Beth Livingston on Coral Sands Waterfront Tiny Home Vacation Community.
Established in 2008, before the recent surge in popularity of tiny houses, we like to say, “We were tiny when tiny wasn’t cool!” We are a community of folks who enjoy and share lake living and recreation such as fishing, boating, and water skiing but don’t want to pay a mint for it.
We have a unique ownership arrangement because we converted an old campground to land-condominiums. This allows each community member to not only own their own tiny cabin on their own waterfront lot but also to become part owner of the entire peninsula and share common expenses to keep costs down. By using park model RV tiny homes in our community, the result is an affordable, low-maintenance, lakefront tiny vacation home with its own dock. Low maintenance is key because it allows more time to be out on the water, enjoying lake life! Please enjoy, learn more and re-share below. Thank you!

When Lina Menard was 14 years old, she was already interested in cohousing. So it’s no wonder that today she’s living in her own tiny house in a self-created tiny house community she and her friends put together in Portland. It’s called Simply Home Community.
Granted, this all definitely didn’t happen over night. This is something Lina has been dreaming of and actively working towards for a long time. It’s no wonder she figured it out, right? And right now I’m so excited and even proud for what she and her friends are doing not only because it isn’t an easy thing to do but also because they are truly paving the way for others, like you and me, to do the same.
So this is the story of how seven friends are now successfully living tiny in their own little community. This is a great model, example, and inspiration for future tiny living and cohousing communities that are home grown.

Birds of a feather… these four tiny house dwellers decided to “flock” together in a small community comprised of cute tiny homes!
Tony Diethelm created the Simply Home Community in Portland, Oregon. All four tiny homeowners knew each other beforehand, and Lina, who owns the Lucky Penny house in the community, helped Tony design his own tiny home.

A compassionate group of people in San Luis Obispo County, California are creating a village of tiny homes to benefit their homeless neighbors.
Right now they’ve completed their model 7′ x 16′ Cabin on Wheels which they are lovingly calling The COW.
The plan is to develop a sustainable tiny house community for their unhoused neighbors who are under-served and have fallen into homelessness.
The villagers will be building their own tiny homes on wheels with the help of their team of volunteers from the community. People can help out by donating and/or by helping to build by volunteering their time. And everyone involved will get to learn from each other while helping one another. For about $2,500 a cabin on wheels can be built for a veteran in need or other homeless person.

The next phase is to build six more tiny houses along with a community area with a bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, and more.
