This is a 430 sq. ft. Two-Bedroom Family Home in the Australian Bush.

The Stewy Crew on YouTube lead a great tour of their tiny space which includes a master bedroom and a nursery for their daughter Lyric (how cute is that name, by the way?). They explained their water and power situation which produces some super-small electric bills.

Enjoy the tour!

This is the SLEDhaus, a pre-fab small home designed as a vacation property that has no loft and can be fully off-grid.

According to SLEDhaus:

The tiny cabins called the SLEDhaus will be built with upgraded features throughout the 572 sq. ft. 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom home, with an available expansion option.

Each home is built to IRC code and can be a permanent or temporary housing option that can serve as a retreat location, remote employee housing, or a park home model that can be rented on a nightly basis at any recreational resort.

They haven’t built one yet, but you can enjoy the renderings and watch the builder talk about the structure below! Plus, I included even more details after the last video.

No, it’s not “tiny,” but Jacqueline’s Solar-Powered New Mexico Artist’s Studio, on 10 beautiful acres, looks like the spot to be!

The 800 sq. ft. home sits near the Chama River Valley and is completely off-grid. This might be the perfect spot to start your self-sufficient life. It’s currently for sale and you can get in touch with Jacqueline with more questions or an offer at solarartistretreat@gmail.com.

Wow! This is a Gothic Castle House from Tiny House Nation that is anything but ordinary.

The faux slate exterior on this small home is exactly what I want on my home someday. There’s a grand middle staircase a-la any horror mansion you’ve ever seen, two bedrooms, a kitchen and more. This family of three (and their six fur babies!) downsized from a whopping 2,150 sq. ft. house — good for them.

You can watch the full episode here.

This is a family of four living in their Ready Structure, a pre-fab small home by Craven Construction.

Although this family chose a small-size dwelling, Ready Structures come in multiple styles and sizes, one as small as 182 square feet. You can see all the options on the Ready Structures website, and make sure to watch the family’s video testimonial below the pictures. You’ll get to see the home lived-in and shining in the summer sun!

These are MorHaus buildings, designed to be anything from a backyard office to an emergency shelter after a natural disaster to a guest house.

The homes come in 4 different sizes, ranging from 8×12 to 16×12. Each one comes with a 4×12 porch and various available upgrades. The packages come with pre-cut timber that can easily be assembled by two people — a great DIY option! See a few examples below.

This is the “Azure” Lumbec Coach House Kit, a new 3-D design of a “small house” I’d love to live in.

The home is great for anyone who doesn’t like lofts and would like the 640 sq. ft. of living space. Because it’s a kit you get all the “pieces” and can still DIY the build, which is pretty cool! See everything it includes below.

This is Taylor & Steph’s Incredible 560 Sq. Ft. Earthship Home in the mountains of Santa Cruz, California.

The couple built their home out of recycled materials in a way that’s sustainable and good for the environment. They had no construction skills, lived off-grid for a long time and managed to do it with less than $10,000. They’ve even shared their journey and explained the concept of Earthship Homes via a photo book. So they started a Kickstarter campaign to help raise the funds for printing. Be sure to head over there, watch their inspirational video, and consider getting your own copy of “Nomadic Roots.” which is now available on Amazon (affiliate link).

This is Ralph’s Under-$20K Small Home he built back in 2007.

Ralph doesn’t live here anymore, but worked hard to create this wonderful, inexpensive house. In the end, it came in at 960 sq. ft. — definitely more “small” than tiny — and is a great inspiration to us all.
