After a divorce, Bradley was looking for “Plan B” — how could he comfortably sustain himself for the next 20 years? He started looking for a Toyota Sun Raider and found a 1982 fiberglass shell that needed a total overhaul.

Wanting to off-road, he needed to upgrade the tires, engine, and shocks to make it happen! He added special bars to hold up his hammock in the front of the truck, and in the back, he added additional exterior storage. What do you think of his set-up?

Tragically, Derek lost his mother when he was 18 years old. He got around $40,000 from her life insurance and was able to use that money to purchase his $26,000 home on wheels. Now he feels like his home is an extension of her. Derek immediately painted his home a variety of bold, wonderful colors and changes the paint and styles up frequently.

Just recently, he invited two roommates to move in with him and his dog and cat. Compared to the high cost of living in his former Portland apartment, spending just around $200 per month for his home ad utilities is pretty amazing! What do you think?

Halle’s first introduction to #vanlife was actually in her Kia Soul which she used to travel the entire country for 3 months. The experience left her wanting more, and she eventually decided to jump into full-time nomadic living. She had two other rigs, including a Sprinter she shared with a former partner, and then downsized into her awesome Westfalia Vanagon!

These vintage vans were among the first, and they are always cool. She’s made some great upgrades to increase its livability and to find space for her artwork and art supplies (she sells her creations!). Right now, she funds her travels with copywriting gigs.
